wow its so nostalgic to post here again after so long. I started this place (and you can see the last reply date) over 4 years ago! how's everyone? kinda got caught up with life and work and other interests. its nice to see the overall look of this place remains the same after all this time. and all my smileys!! haha.. so many back to topic: I'm sure that many would disagree. perhaps I'm lucky to be blessed with only 'bronze'-ears, that can't discern small differences, only big ones. EDIT: WOW its been FIVE years! amazing.

whats been done: server shifted to yotiao's host to do: updating dns servers so www.sgheadphones.net's url will automatically direct to the new server domain ownership to who?

that went relatively smooth. looks like sgheadphones is in good hands (with actual expertise in forum handling! )!

I'm in the midst of transferring a backup made yesterday night (note: all posts after that might be lost, once we switch servers!) lets hope things go smoothly

its pretty obvious everyone wants to keep the place.. but nobody feels up to fully-taking over management of the place, as before sigh actually, its not hard to pick up forum-building/maintenance. I knew NOTHING about all this html, php, mambo-jambo when I first started the forum too! but alas..

Hello fellas, I've brought this up a couple of times now, but this time it'll be for real. As you all know (or not) I started working for a almost a year now, and work saps the life out of me. Dead beat all the time, not being able to monitor the forum and fix the errors that pop up once in a while. So I'm just unable to upkeep this place any more. I know you guys have found yourself a nice place here and everyone knows everyone (or almost), and consdering all the work I did to get everything up running up to its final state.. (4 years?) I'd personally hate, too, for the place to go down, but I'm just unable to keep up the site anymore as previously explained. If there's anybody who would be willing to stand up now and volunteer to take full management of the place, I'd be happy to help you transfer the databases over, so we won't lose anything hopefully, but FULL management will have to fall onto the shoulders of the new guy. So if there's someone out there who thinks she/he can do this, please speak up now. if not.. by the end of the month.. this place will be officially no more. Its been a great journey with all you guys. I, and I hope you have all learnt much from each other. It has been my pleasure to have met and made so many good friends on this forum, and hope that we will stay friends, even when sgH is no more. cheers everyone. thanks for everything

honestly, if somebody would be willing to take over care of the forum, I'll gladly pass on the ownership. working life's a whole lot to juggle hence the minimal posts from me these days and thats why this forum hasn't changed much in the past months. If somebody familiar with forum scripts wants to take over, I'd be happy to assist porting the forum database over to you. but if its left to me, this forum will stay this way for a while... besides, I don't agree that the script's buggy. Its only one error in a long time so far isn't it? and most of the time its the webhost acting up, and even then, they've been much better than they've been in the beginning. I'm doing what I can here already guys. Please accept my apologies.

aaa: yeah I do recall reading that BGs work best without being bypassed, and I got them from partsconnexion but Wellaudio stocks lots of the BGs too, I just found out. firefox: I think its great. especially with the good deals going on at vrforums, you gotta check it out. its..
