  1. Hello!

I've a friend who's going to akihabara soon, so maybe he could get some stuff for me. Just wanted to ask if anyone knows how much cheaper japanese headphones are over there. Also, is it worth it to get other things like amps/sources or will the difference in voltage cause any problems.

    Thanks :))

  2. Well I got the HD-25s and they're great :) I haven't really listened to them much so far though.

So far it feels like the soundstage is slightly larger than the MS-1s and it seems more distant. The bass is also more prominent and stronger on the HD-25s.

It's been quite enjoyable so far, thanks for the help guys. :)

  3. Hm. Perhaps I could hang around the classifieds and hope for a used pair. Haha.

I had the PX-200s once and I vastly prefer the MS-1s over them, so I'll probably not go for those. My brother has the PX-100s and I don't like them either, the bass was too bloated and it was overall pretty muddy.

  4. Hi guys, i'm using MS-1s now but i would like another pair of closed headphones for semi-portable usage. hopefully i could keep the budget at around $200, maybe more if needed. I was looking at the es-7s, so i was wondering how they would complement the sound of the ms-1s. Suggestions anybody? Thanks in advance.

  5. Hrmmsies. Though the sound and isolation will be a boon, I forgot to mention that the main reason i want to change is cos my PX-200 are a little spoilt. The mechanism to hold the cups? Its loose. I was using them one day in school and the cable was under the keyboard drawer thing on the computer table. I stood up and my left driver got ripped off from the "clipping" mechanism. So, my left side is loose now, can't tighten it. It slips off sometimes, and its getting irritating nowadays.

I'll have to thank all of you here for the advice you've provided.

  6. Hmmm.... Ok. Then how will they sound as compared to my PX-200s? I listen to mainly rock and metal with a little jazz and classical. I still remember being blown away by the sound of the PX-200s when i first got them, the sound was so clear as compared to my stock earbuds. laugh.gif I was wondering whether that 'lifting of the veil' effect would be replicated with the e2s. And some more instrument separation would be greatly desired too...The PX-200 make my music sound pretty jumbled up sometimes( if u get what i mean) ^^ Thanks again =)

  7. should i get the e2 now or save up for the e3? =| i have slightly over $200 to spend right now.

  8. Hi guys. I'm considering to get a pair of canal phones for portable use. I kinda decided on the e3c after a period of serious research(both for the sonical quality and the ergonomics). So, where could i find them in Singapore? I don't see them being listed under the headphone prices thread though...and i can't buy online as I don't have a credit card nor paypal. Only a student. Help will be mch appreciated. =) Thanks in advance!

  9. Yeah. i probably will use them unamped at home. However, my dad has this kenwood integrated stereo amp that he uses for his speakers. I saw a headphone output jack on it though. But i'll mainly be driving them out of my PCDP and my pc.

As for whether Hung Bros do sell the A900/A500 or not, will go down during the weekend to look. smile.gif honestly i doubt my ears will find the difference between these two headphones significant. Would the A900 justify its price tag? btw, whether i get the A500 or 900, i hope they sound better than my current PX-200s.

edit: oh yes. they don't seem that big to me though. but looks super comfy laugh.gif
