I hope you do know that it's a reduced version of the Dynalo... The PSU in that is a standard LM317/337 power supply, not the dual-tracking, double regulated supply as designed by Dr. Gilmore.

A butterfly..
Actual file is quite large, hence a clickable thumbnail. This is a direct crop.
This dragonfly was quite photo-friendly.. Unfortunately, a few others were relatively territorial and chased it away after a while.. Image re-sized..
Been a long decade since I ran around catching spiders.. And have since forgotten most of the names of spiders.. Heh.. This is also a direct crop..

As an experiment, I took out my 1uF polypropylene caps used for decoupling the input and put in Nichicons 470uF 10V electrolytic caps instead. The sound immediately opened up, the triangles and high-hats in drumset sound so much better and the high frequency roll off has disappeared.Again, I am not EE guy so I cannot explain this except it alters the input filter but it sure sounds a lot clearer and more acceptable.
Any experts care to explain? Also, if you have the time, try to built this amp, I think it is so low cost and easy to built, it is fun!
The Rifa's are dark sounding...
Nichicon Muse FA & Finegolds are brighter and more bass heavy.. Hence, the difference in sound..

My camera has anti-shake but it wasn't switched on at the time (I forgot to charge my batteries and I was trying to conserve power.. LOL..).

Wow, very nice macro shots Firefox ! Dunno what bug is that. Thanks for the kind comments..
Somehow I find it easier to shoot the insects well than plants.. Then again, it could have been the winds blowing the plants.. Heh..

I really wanna go out to get a macro-reversing ring just so that I can get a close-up next time..
So.. Anyone knows what these bugs are?
Wanted to get more shots of this beetle but some stupid ant walked into the beetle and it flew off.. *sigh*

QOO,I hope you are kidding. If you want to know the rental charges for the 10mm OP fisheye PM me. Deposit required as well - damage it and kiss the deposit goodbye.
Rameish: I think you shouldn't bother.. Not that I don't think he can cough out the cash for it.. But that the D70 doesn't have Mirror Lock-up required to use the OP. =P
And you could have told me how much the lens cost before I was holding it the other day.. Sheesh..

Aah.. the age old Zoom vs Primes debate. I will say that each have their place so im a neutral party to this.Aye.. Each have their places.. But you can't deny that a Prime is better than a Zoom granted both use the same technologies.
A prime simply has less elements and moving parts that it'd give better image quality (if the film/ sensor allows). Of course, you do lose convenience of zooms.
And you'd notice that quality zooms like Canon L lenses have a small zoom range. The exception being the lens mounted on the Pro1 for which the sensor doesn't have the resolving ability to tell.
Heh.. You win some, lose some..

Not to thread jack, but there's this old(?) type of camera that have 4 lens/shutter and the photo that comes out contain 4 images on a single photo.I'm no shutterbug so i dont really know what terms to use, was hoping that i could find out its name and could get my hands on it, if any of you guys can fathom what i was trying to say/ask.
TIA
Augustine
It's a Lomo camera. Do a search on Google for "Lomography" to find out more.

'find the one without zoom lens' .. good advice for usFor you (D)SLR users, just get a prime lens.. LOL..
Prime lens = No zoom.
Prime lens + legs = Zoom.
LOL..

Erm, would any of you know about the ER-9 as well? Seems like u need to get an audiologist to get an impression mould of your ears. Any other places besides Hung Bro's to get the ER-20 and ER-9? Im a little reluctant to go to Hung Bro's because of the 'reputation' if u get what i mean. When you go in, ask for any of the three brothers, Adam, Douglas or Genghis. They offer good service and usually better prices if you're a good/ regular customer.
The ER-20 are $25 a pair, IIRC. You may be able to knock off a dollar or two though.

Neh, haha I'm allergic to nikonites My destiny is to be continued to be stuck with my Canon powershot for the forseeable future.Actually I do have a few concepts of shots I wanted to take... .but all those will have to wait till after my exams, don't really have the time to setup those shots now Maybe one of these days we should have a photoshoot gathering instead eh ?
How about the not-so-dark-side? LOL..

Andri: The first of the 3 in the cosplay set is actually IMO, well done. You hit the R.o.T. with it. Unfortunately, the focus seems to be on her *ahem* bosom?
*naughty* *naughty*

ahh... I've seen bad pictures coming out from dslrs at the lower range(mainly due to how cheap they are ie the 300D and d70 so now everyone can join in the show). But for some noob to commit that kind of money on 1dsmkii and not to mention the lenses.. I think the chances are almost zero...There're rich squirts who know nuts about photography but just buy the most expensive available.. LOL..
I don't believe that the cheapest DSLR can't produce a good shot in the hands of a skill photographer.
Nor do I believe that a EOS 1Ds MK II with a nice CZJ lens can produce good shots in the hands of a hopeless photographer.
Anyway, the low cost of the DSLR doesn't relate to how the pictures turn out. And I've seen people who buy a Canon EOS 350D and at least 2 Canon L lenses to go with it. Also EOS1Ds MK II users who do not use L lenses..

1Dsmkii... hehhe... very easy to tell the difference just by looking at the pictures ...Heh... You'd be surprised.. I've seen DSLR's in the wrong hands taking far worse pictures than happy-snappy char-bor cameras in the right hands.. Sometimes you really wonder if the pictures were swapped.. hehe..

I successfully made the camera dissapear.. Well... No.. I dismantled the lens from the A85 and placed it inside Wcon for a shot.

Many players have issues with Dual-disc... It's a problem with the dual-disc technology (or lack of) itself.
