Yes, Four Seasons is very near Orchard Road. I recommend you go to Plaza Singapura which is at the other end of Orchard Road and visit Stereo Electronics where you can actually audition the headphones you may be interested in. I am not sure if they have the models you specified above though.

It all depends whether you want the exact parts and want them on the pcb. If so, then you just have to buy the parts from mouser. Or try look for them at Koba Electronics. If you don't mind having short connectors from the jacks, then you should be able to find substitutes in Sim Lim.

I am not trying to be funny but why not set the volume and then remove the knob? Shouldn't need to keep adjusting volume of subwoofer. At least I never adjust the volume of my subwoofer after getting it right in the beginning. I control the volume via the pre-amp.

Please take ALL our advice with a grain of salt. Do yourself a favour and go down to Stereo Electronics or Jaben and try out as many of the phones mentioned to see which you will like. We all have different taste in sound quality, what I like, you may not like. So the best judge will be your own ears.

Hi, Dare not answer you at first, as not sure myself. If I were you, I would try level 3 of Sim Lim Tower. There is one shop which is run by two ladies and a man, which is opposite a repair shop. The people in this shop is quite friendly and I try to get stuff from them. The repair shop is always full of men (my age and looking like me... ), listening to music from tube amps.

I think you will get the best value by changing your phones. Do go and try out the Westones UM1 at Stereo Electronics at Plaza Sing or Jaben at Adelphi. I don't think an amp is necessary but if you can afford the cost and the bother of carrying more things, you can get a LOD and an amp.

Although all the rules were already in place before I was appointed a mod especially to keep the Classifieds clean, I support the 50 post requirement. And I also agree with the posts that say these 50 posts should be constructive and not frivolous, especially not spam. The rationale for the requirements to post WTS is to give this privilege to only those who have contributed to the forum. It is a privilege and not a right. I deleted all his posts and change his post count to 1. If I could just delete his spam, I would have done it but unfortunately the controls are not fine enough. I think this forum's members are mostly mature and constructive. If new members cannot fit in with the culture, then they probably shouldn't join us. There are other forums which are more free-wheeling and less moderated where these people can have the freedom to post whatever they want. Thanks to nofing for this last comment.

Guys and gals, I am just so sad with this guy who in one evening built up 50+ posts just to be able to post WTS. What does the community think we should do with people like that? Suspension? Ban? I don't think there is anything which can totally isolate from noise. In a plane for example, I will use a low level of soothing music to block the sound from the engines and the stupid call chimes. What sound are you trying to block while sleeping?
