if u want to listen to almost full potential of dt 150, i suggest u go to someone's place who had the dt 150 fully burned-in. then u can really decide whether it's for u or not. for me, i'm just curious how the dt 150 would sound like and i happen to be at SLS so just pop by hung brothers to have a listen
-
yes, it's around that age. most probably i will keep my dt 880
-
wow cool looking!
-
mackie, maybe the pair that i heard was a new one so the difference is not so different sounding? N@Z, no i didnt try it with my cmoy and yes the bass doesnt seem to affect the rest of the range
-
i dont know and i think i can only keep either dt 880 or 150. cant afford to have both. if a "seasoned" dt 150 can really wow me, then most probably i will sell off the 880 and buy it
-
is there any one shop in SLT where i can get all the parts needed to build a cmoy?? or do i have to go "parts hunting"? prefer to get all from one shop. easier for me. i guess i can leave out the casing for now. anyone?

i had a brief audition with the dt 150 at hung brothers today. it's better than my dt 880 and somemore it's a new set. it was powered by a Creek OBH-21SE(cant really remember the model number) the bass is good...no brightness or harshness consider it's a new set very different from my dt 880 when it's new i cant say for now if i like the sound or not because i only had a very brief audition. the price they qoute me was S$424 but i was given a "special price" which i was quite surprised. hmmm... maybe they jacked up the price tag of S$424. all i can say it's that their "special price" is abit higher than Mackie's.

what volume pot does the gilmore lite have? also, last the "power buy" for this amp was not carried out?
-
tropicalrips, is it troublesome to take a pic of the bottom of the board of your CHA47? Thanks
-
maybe someone can start a potential sticky regarding where to get various brands of caps, resistors, pots, tubes available in SG? i think it would really help DIY newbies on getting the parts especially those audio grade stuff
-
then u will need to fly to washington to catch them!

Thanks N@Z

is this SS or tube?

Mackie, i own the XLO cd now. hehe hmmm... maybe i remembered wrongly? will go and check again
-
i think S-Logic is something found in Ultrasone cans if i'm not wrong their site should have something about it
-
Blues getting 1 more??
-
even those green-coloured ones?
-
Mackie, the one in XLO cd is only 1 min long and its frequency range is from 40Hz-19kHz. apart from the gradual tone, it also integrates a "up down up down" tone (cant really describe it well) mine is 5 min long, frequency range from 20Hz-20kHz in 1Hz increments but dont have the "up down up down" thingy. anyway, refer to the first post of this thread. it has the description of the cd that i made

enjoying life eh? N@Z

i'm sure everyone in here wish to know

that's what i'm afraid of when playing my cd, so i lower the volume to half of my normal listening volume. so, it wont cause the "magnets" in the drivers to demagnetise? therefore causing the sound quality to degrade?

yeah maybe u should. can use the money to fund some new toys.
