i dont listen to jazz, bossa nova and metal, so i dont know. i had a metallica cd and it sound pretty good. but the best sounding one was a pearl jam cd and it totally rocks. the strength of this player appears to be clarity and does not color the sound.

ms2i. with the little dot amping the ms2i, i find that it gives music more impact and dynamics.

the dcd 735 gives a very clear and neutral sound with a tight bass too.

u can come my house and test if its good anot. decide whether u like the sound or not, its all up to u.

for the sound, you can come my place to test it out if you want to. i live in tampines. but my place is quite small, hope u dont mind

Jojo, i tried connect the pre amp output to my old technics av reciever and it has no sound output. i think u need a power amp to make it work. i am not very good with preamp and power amp setup so i might be wrong

ya it is LD2+. i am using it at home now. its $140. the one with the preamp feature right ?
