Hi,
i m looking for earphones, primarily in-ear, because i need to shut my roommate's crappy chinese pop music out..
just wondering
are in-ear earbuds deterent to hearing? or are open-air earphones deterrent to hearing? cuz in-ear, no escape of energy, isolation.
open air headfones, have to turn on louder to hear over background sounds, but more diffused
which headphone amp has a profound effect on sound quality? tighter bass, better clarity etc?
price and recommendations?
any exotic mp3 players to recommend? i saw a rogers one somewhere, would prefer something uncommon
as for in-ear earphones, are shure e5c pretty much unrivalled? any other better recommendations?
slightly experienced with audio, i m still quite dis-satisfied after a recent grados s80 purchase, much improvement from other earphones and headphones, but still lacking in the desired sound i wanted. i was hoping that it could in some way be closer to the replication of an openair audio system, fluid dynamics, spacefilling sound etc, but when i revved the volume up on the grados, it seems that the headphones tend to get pushed a little too much on the highs.. and the sound becomes a little.. fatigue-ing on the ears.
will an amp improve this?
i might be looking for a more portable substitute to the grados soon tho.. probably in the earbud form.. looking at shure and ety right now. any opinions anyone?
are in-ear earbuds capable in representing adequately the soundstage of an audio/speaker setup?
and lastly.. is shure e5c truly worth the price? i've seen the specs, dual driver unique to only this model o_O
