Urm...sorry..my bad its the Ultimate Ears Superfi 3.. oops noob..sry

Is there a known problem whereby the wires of IEM spoil easily? I had a Shure e2c, but the wires spilt open after about a year of usage. Probably down to wear n tear but i do take good care of them. Bought a UE1 for less than a year, now the right earphone seems faulty..sometimes the volume of the music produced from it goes loud and soft at times..until i adjust the wires abit..its ok..for awhile..den the problem arises again.. Is the prob due to the wires? Where can i get my UE1 repaired..cannot afford new one..still a student.. Thnx in advance for any advice

Hmmz..wad do u mean by inverting the wearing style? As in not wear it like the normal IEMs like hook behind the ears ? oh yeah..is it ok to jog with IEMs? will sweat and constant motion affect the insides or the wires?

went down to stereo...tested out the UM1 and the superfi3 decided to try the superfi3 instead..cos the bass sounded nicer..damn..if only i got money to buy the superfi5.. thanks for the helpz anyways..i mus say..i kinda miss the e2c..jus need a little getting used to the superfi3 ANd..the bad thing is that the earphones kinda stick out from my ears..but overall..the sound is so far so good..cannot do a full review cos i kinda noob at this thing..only owned 2 IEM so far PS: good service from stereo..the pple there r frenly n helpful..great job guys

LOl..like some DOTA game in here..deal initial dmg.. My HP only worth like 170 la..if deal such dmg..i will die.. Thanks for the input anyways..yeah considering the superfi 3, cos i heard the UM1 ain't tat good in bass component.. i need the bass to get the kick out of the music i listen to.. Mayb i have to up my hp in order to really enjoy..

oh wow..so fast..thanks for the reply yeah..considering to go down to test out some time.. but its gonna burn a big hole in the pocket. UM2 out of budget..if have..i also buy..lol..no dillema

My right E2C earphones jus died..now i have to get a new one WaS tinking of changinge to UM1 instead..my budget is like less than 200...much less But looking at the forums, some seem to recommend the superfi3..any comments..or should i just stick to the e2c..i quite like the sound of it, although the bass is abi muddy I usually listen to rock n some metal music..n i like the bass sounds Any1 has any idea how much these 3 earphones are sell for at Stereo? Thanks

hey..i experienced the same thing as well..cept mine is torn is several places..but the sound is not affected as yet. is it worth repairing?' i tried blacktaping it..but think it makes it worse tempted to change to UM1...UM2 too ex for me le.. is the UM1 better than the E2C in terms of sound quality?

currently own a pair of shure e2c..but recently, the wire casing near the right earbud tore. i have no idea why..prob bad handling on my part. any1 here knows where i can get it repaired and roughly how much it wld cost?
