  1. I have yet to try the Super.fi 5 pro, but after reading alot from Head-Fi, I dun THINK it may be what you are looking for.

If you are looking for clarity, non-dark IEMs, I would honestly recommend you the Shure E4. That thing is clear like hell.. But then again YMMV..

As for fits, think the sleeves provided in the packaging would be quite sufficient for ALMOST all ear canal size. If not, the foams should be able to work for you.

Do find some time to try out the E4.

BTW, there is a thread on MO from earphonesolutions.

  2. Guys,

I realised that the filter on both sides of my E5 went deeper inside the nozzel..

Sound quality has not changed much, I THINK, but its kinda irritating me.. <_<

I gotten them from earphonesolutions, and thinking of sending them back to Shure USA.

Problem is I am not sure whether the warranty covers this problem.

Anybody knows anything about it to advise? Or any advise to give if I wanna send the IEMs to Shure?

  3. hi all,

have been absent for a while...thinking of upgrading from my Shure E2C

Anything new in the market? I was considering E4C a few months ago...

will be using it unamped with a Iriver U10...

You enjoying them? I would not consider them an upgrade, but try the UM1. Its not bad to be honest.. :yeah:

  4. I started out with my Panasonic MD + stock buds..

Then when I gotten my zen micro, my friend recommended me the EX51, and I got it immediately after I tried it.

When my EX51 broke (whats new?? :bash: ), I gotten the E4 and the iPod Video, after reading about in in SGH and head-fi.

Did not like the E4, sold it after a week and got the A900LTD.

After using the A900LTD for about 3 months, found them a little to bulky for portable use. I sold them and gotten the E5. :yeah:

Fortunately, I have curb this sonic nirvana addiction, but got hooked on another addiction...

    Shoes... -_-

  5. Im using the Shure E5 with a 60gb iPod video, i tend to always set the EQ to accoustic and volume usually at 10-20%. But sometimes if it's really quiet(or if i use tri-flange), i feel that even at the absolute minimum(1-pixel line), its still too loud so i use the shure in-line volume control.

I use my E5 with my 30G iPod Video, and I crank the volume to 50% (I mp3gained my mp3 to 91db though).

    Am I abnormal??

Are you using the tri-flange or one of the other sleeves? I use 10-20% for the tri-flange and around 50% for the soft flex(medium). But then again, my hearing is quite sensitive as I sleep in a very quiet enviroment.

I using the soft flex (medium, grey) sleeves. Tri/Bi-flange dont work for me. It goes in way too deep. Feels like my ears kena rape... :P
