I am a current owner of a Beyer DT231 (bought from jaben). For many years, it has served me wonderfully and i am extremely pleased with it. However recently, the earpads have lost it's sponge and it becomes quite uncomfortable to wear them now.
Having enquired, they do not carry replacement earpads for the DT231.
Thus i am now on a search to replace my headphone.
Main usage is to watch dramas/movies on my PC. I used to connect it through my creative x-fi soundcard (which is now kaput) thus i connect it to my mobo onboard sound. Looking to get a DAC soon.
Budget for replacement headphone would be around $100. Max willing to go $150s, looking of value for money buys.
Currently looking at the sr60is, ms1i, hd555 and value for money buys in the 2nd hand market!
Hopefully the bros can recommend something for me, headphones or DAC (or equivalent).
