ACS coming out with a new range of IEM? 4 driver now?

That time i heard is they going to make the ACS with a push to hear button thingy.

What I heard from Aron is a new ACS custom IEM & a limited edition T1 coming soon.

No idea is it a 4 driver one but there is a change in the cable used.

Highs were present and sparkled, though not as clean as the ACS T1 but they seem more present to me compared to the UM3X.

 

Mids were sweet, smooth and lush. I tried a track by Olivia Ong and it reminded closely of what I felt with the T1s, though not as forward and more laid back. Mesmerising in its own right.

 

There was definitely more quantity in the bass department. It extended low and hit hard as well, which I preferred for certain genres of my music as to the T1s. Comparing to the UM3X, it does not hit as hard but was definitely defined and had reasonably good extension.

 

I kept going between this customs, my ACS T1 and the UM3X and I must say that this impressed me quite a bit. If you are a fan of the UE signature, this will definitely be an awesome upgrade from your universals without the huge price gap and I'm pretty sure you will not regret.

 

Again, this is purely my opinion and thoughts and if you can and have the time, this customs are definitely worth trying.

So quite an upgrade for ACS T1 customer ? Or maybe should wait for ACS latest custom IEM ? What I heard from Aron, they are in the progress of coming out soon.

But the price Aron told me is really tempting & the latest ACS custom which is going to announce soon should be much much more expensive.

Or maybe ACS willing to upgrade your existing T1 ?

I had replaced my battery for my H340. It's a bit tight as wat u say & it's working fine right now.

Try listening using my ACS T1 on the H340 & Iaudio7. My second thought is the H340 & Iaudio7 are both very good players indeed. SQ for both are amazing. Iaudio7 battery life is excellent ( battery segment never dropped after 6 hours of continue playback ). I got my H340 from Taka & that's was I think 4 years back ( can't really recalled ). Initially, got the H10 but later exchanged for the H340 ( look very robust ). No regret in SQ.

I was wondering how are today Iriver mp3 player SQ as compared to my H340.

I think the process of treating the cable is also considered.

I feel maybe much cheaper if they do sell the cable for us to DIY. Anyway, there is a lot of other alternative branded wires to consider.

The UE9 is very different but i have to say that I do enjoy the ESW10JPN almost or maybe as well. I have not sit down and directly made a comparison but the UE9 seems to give a stronger sound than the ESW10JPN. The ESW10JPN gives a sense of more clarity but I am sure that this is not true. It may be that the UE9's bass is just more powerful than the ESW10JPN which is to be expected.

 

I read that they have about 1500 pieces worldwide with 1000 of that for Japan.

 

Yes, easy to drive. Much of my listening is with the iBasso Boa. The plug is the small one.

 

For the price it is a steal compared with the UE9 in my opinion even though I plan on keeping both.

I learned that the size of the sound image is not everything if you get better imaging as I got from my Ultrasone Edition 9s.

 

I love my music and it has fast become one of my three favorite cans. With the Ultrasone Edition 9 and Stax SR-007MkII being in the mix.

So how does it sound as compared to the Edition9 ?

It's limited edition in how many pcs worldwide ?

Is it easy to drive ( portability ) & what is the size of the adapter ?

Looked tempting to buy as Stereo are giving some freebies.

Hey you all! Thanks for your fabulous replies. I'm looking for flash-based but I have yet to try HDD-based. How much is the iriver spinn? My current budget is SGD$250 max for a good player w/o amps.

My friend also recommend the cowon iaudio 7. Any proud owners to share their reviews? And where to get gd prices for this?

 

I am also thinking of upgrading my koss porta pro to maybe grado sr60, ATH-es7 or the AKG K81DJ.

I just got myself the Iaudio7. I also owned the H340.

If you will to ask me about SQ between Iaudio7 & H340. I think I will choose the Iaudio7. I just feel that it had more of H340. What I mean you can hear more thing.

The battery life is excellent for my 16GB Iaudio7 ( at least 50 hours ). I don't seem to see the bar less one ?

But anyway, my Iaudio7 player that I got from Amazon had some minor defect which is quite o.k & will not affect the SQ. Maybe service when it's really failed me.

U can get this player at SLS but they only carried the 8GB one & the price is ~$280 as what I asked which is $40 more expensive than the one I am having now.

U won't regret in term of SQ.

As for headphone, I don't owned any of what you mentioned. Maybe can go down to Stereo to try yourself.

Really enjoy the sound especially the high. Currently listening, I am back on track again.

The bass is just fine for me. I find the sound is balanced. The soundstage can't really be compared to a headphone but it's really there. Just close your eye & you can feel the presence of the surrounding.

And one very very important thing is the seal. Now I know what the difference that I am getting from a custom IEM.

It's really worthwhile getting one if you can afford.

Aron has all the T1, 2 and 3. The T1 I tried is black with clear cables.

Boy.... tried out aron's T-1 at stereo today. Fortunately, I was able to fit into the T-1 on aron's impression. Must have been the soft-silicons..... easy fit, though not completely comfortable, I was able to get a good seal .

 

Are u sure that's the T1 that u tried ?

I thought that's the T2 that Aron is having the last time I went.

Just like to know anyone encountered all battery segment empty when I increase the volume ( it's fully charged before that ) ? Restart the player & it's o.k. again. It's will happened when I increase the volume.

My H340 needed to change the battery. I also had a hard time deciding on the Iaudio 7 & D2. At last, I ordered a 16GB I7 due to I don't need video. Still waiting for it's arrival.

U can check up at Hung Brother at SLS, Stereo Electronic at Causeway point & Jaben at Adelphi. Price wise I am not sure.

Most of the goods at Amazon will not shipped to Singapore so u need to use an US address to ship your goods to. I am using Vpostusa. U can apply at vpost.com.sg. Buying at Amazon is cheaper but u must take into consideration the risk if it's spoilt as there is no warranty coverage.

UE11 I think both SE and Jaben would be able to help you with the ordering process. With regards to T1 and UE11, I guess there might be some threads on head-fi. And iAudio 7 price wise, I think Farle Funan's prices are pretty reasonable, but I suppose hunting around SLS might yield better results.
