  1. using the LD2+ with my CD7300 and AT W1000s.

First thing I noticed was an increase in bass, I could hear more bass but to me it seems slightly flabby, it's brand new so I'll give a proper response once it's properly burn in.

Second thing I noticed was the treble, cymbals are now very prominent but not sharp so it doesn't pierce your ears.

I'm very impressed by it's ability to handle complicated parts. Was listening to Airbag and Paranoid Android from Radiohead - OK Computer and it seperated all the individual instruments/ effects w/o breaking a sweat! Marked improvement over my the HA20 which would KO during those parts. lol.

I wanna try this baby with high impedance headphones >_<

  2. Want to sell my 1yr, 2 months old Shure E3Cs. In quite good condition. Over 600hours of usage over the span of time I've had them.

Still under international warranty. Very good earphones, especially once you find the perfect fit. All the earbuds are either brand new or not used (I bought replacements).

Asking price is $200. Negotiations are welcomed. Pls PM if interested. Thank you! :D

  3. It's on the 3rd page of Straits Times I think.

What are your thoughts on it? IMO it would have been a lot more helpful if they actually properly classified the different types of headphones and earphones.

Not to mention that there are so many variables to the whole equation.

What about IEMs? The article states that Earbuds go close to the cochlea but what abt IEMs that go down into the canal itself, but since they block out external noises, you will listen to it on a lower volume, how does that factor in? The difference between closed back and open headphones? How about the importance of impedance in regards to volume? How about an article on how our everyday working environment is destroying our hearing as well?

Seriously the article is so ambiguous. I feel like writing to Straits Times asking for further explanation since the write-up offers no real scientific proof. dry.gif

  4. Can anyone tell me the difference between these three? My headphones seem to exhibit a slight fuzz sound at the farthest left of the soundstage (the AT W1000s) during some rather deep bass, some crashes and sometimes with human voices as well (especially noticeable in Christina Stuermer's CD).

How do I tell if it's grattle or a damaged driver or digital clipping? Are damaged drivers like those in the music stores where you have to fiddle with the volume control until you can get sound out of both sides? Or is it that I'm going crazy due to the lousy job of sound engineers??

    Please help. Thanks mellow.gif
