Hey its a Beta22 supposedly the king of DIY amps... I'm sure its worth the effort.

To the guys involved in the group buy: what are we going to do about the front and back panels? I have some confidence in soldering everything on fine, but I think that the panels are gonna be quite a pain, especially from what I read at AMB's instruction page. Firstly, I don't have precision drilling equipment. Ok sure I can probably use my father's Bosch that he uses for drilling walls but thats hardly precise.

I propose perhaps we have a group buy for the panels too?

I think I might be able to help you with this.

Firstly what I was thinking is to remove the paint or sand it out. Later airbrush it with some metallic paints and buff it until you get the brushed metal look. I have done this with my Gundam kits before and it looks quite good. Problem is I don't have any experience with airbrushing on metal. Might have to airbrush on some metal primer first or else the paint won't stick.

Any way of getting a Monica 2 ready built?

BTW heady, noticed you mounted the boards onto a breadboard. I have always found breadboard work intimidating, must be very skilled to have built that

Saw a girl wearing a pair of CK-32s on the train yesterday. She's very beautiful too, the kind of demure beauty that melts your heart, instead of the ah lian-ish kind of look all my NS buddies seem to go for :/

Ok, so it's only a pair of CK-32s, but the fact that she's willing to buy them off HMV or whatever shows that she's willing to upgrade over stock earphones. Incidentally, my friend and I were on the train on the way to Jaben, and we were solely tempted to kidnap her and show her that her CK-32s are only the beginning of a long journey.

My friend (aka Apologectic Gecko) and I headed down the Jaben yesterday to try out the Orpheus. This might be the only chance in our lives that we could hear the Orpheus after all.

It was great meeting fellow sgheadphones members. (Hey there Ahdui ). Uncle Wilson was as usual really warm and friendly and made us feel right at home. Thanks for another great time at your shop!

The Orpheus sounds downright amazing. My only regret was that I couldn't listen to all the songs I wanted to (some of them were in MP3 format), but its ok, I only got 10 minutes anyway.
