    anybody here has spare amb mini3 pcb? the one from amb, not hohodiy..i figure i'd ask here since buying from amb is quite expensive for building 1 unit only

    it can be broken anywhere,

     

    most common near the plug connector, strain relieve portion , due to plug and plug, strain from 360degree angles

     

    the driver portion, due to pull

     

     

    recable? but it will be ugly, u need crack open the iem, if is glued/welded type

     

    some stuff are meant to be replace

    if u comb sim lim tower, u can find it, but time consuming,,

    Ya it's ex but I like that it has both balanced and normal outputs. It runs on DC so I can also use it in a "trans-portable" set-up with a energiser powerpack.

     

     

    haha dun use those powerpack... woo I bought a sanyo(on friday)... I measured the dc voltage, i didnt even bother to see the oscilloscope ... is not for audio

     

    there is a voltage regulator inside, which is very noisy and very unstable

     

    u probably need a 24V lifepo4 or SLA battery pack,, direct connect it

    I am given 17% discount for 1k order, they are not willing to undervalue the cost, so gst....

    you can head to stereo to try them out

     

    both amp and iem

     

    I feel $100 iem is not going to have much improvement

     

    $100 amp to match Ultimate Ears 200vi is also not going to have much improvement

     

    but is all up to your ears

     

    you have to try them yourself

     

    many have sold amps, and iems, just by listening to reviews instead of the equipment

    I got it yesterday, currently burning it. Sound is impressive upon 1st hearing.

     

    Really amazing for its price, especially the headphone output. The player is a 3 in 1 :

     

    a) It taps iPod loseless file and then convert using its DAC. You can even control the individual track on the remote control, however, album selection would have to be done on the iPod.

    B) SACD player by itself.

    c) It also has a USB input for digital, way to go!

     

     

    what damage? should be more than your 1.2k budget :holiday:
