    Thanks!! Still too busy in these days(maybe months||| :cry: ), will try to find a chance..do wish to come to your place to hear how good it can be for a fine tuned system...

    The ASTINtrew CD player I think is belong to SkyAudio right? Not sure if it makes it one of the reasons for the magic mids..

     

    On the meet jig_sg's rig(the electrostatic amp) has some maintenance work..Anything happen to the electrostatic amp?

    the ASTINtrew cdp beside phonitor belongs to Cal. jig_sg is resolving some static issue with his Gilmore Stat. Amp

     

    Have you tried with kidult's setup? kidult is using phonitor and 640c. ASTINtrew cdp is really musical.

    Yeah, thanks again to all organisers. Apologize that few of my equipment didn't show up, some went to a friend's place and some to marketplace.

     

    The difference between RS1 and RS1i is bigger than I expected. Each will suit very different taste. Now I know what they meant by the detailed sound of Benchmark. I would expect the DAC to match well with DV337, as one has detail, the other has serious warmth to match with. Too bad no chance to verify during the meet.

    oh yes, the pics are superb.

    yes... I personally prefer RS1i with the flats... Like the lush sound and thick mid range. Forget to try MS pro thought...

    Yeah :party: I was quite surprise my rig can power HD800 and Stakyfied DT880 :cans: Best thing is hd800 sound so much better on my cheapo rig than the at Sennheiser Hd800 event rig :thumbup: Makes me wonder what is those hype on other forum on Leman Blackcube :bash: Still prefer Grado sound :P PS1 :drool:

     

    btw, i quite like Sky Audio Steve setup. Not sure if it is the amp or the tube cdp that make it sound very musical and enjoyable :thumbup:

    Cool my Atrio is shown some love! Was so afraid it might be lost amongst all the huge cans that would be there. Lol. I'll bring the different tips there too, including the Jays tips.

     

    How did the mod go haywire? Loose connection?

    No... some board problem which I can't identify... I just goes on loop at the screen use itune to restore... I never give Atrio a proper audition.

    Hey count me in for this!

     

    Providing these humble equipment:

    diymod iPod Nano Gen 1

    D2 Viper fitted with Predator clone opamps

    Atrio M5

    (and hopefully modded MS-1 with woodcups from jaben if I mod them in time)

     

    Interested to get poisoned for homerig.

    Atrio m5... :party: will like to try it out again

    take good care of DIY Nano mod... it very fragile... I have a few in my stable and some start to go haywire after a while... :wacko:

    I tried HD800 with Solo/PSU, I don't know it is the problem with Solo or Ipod, it sounds like too much dead space between notes, almost no reverberation at all, I don't feel I'm in a room listening to a performance, it sounds like the band is playing in an open air. But the timbre is still much more superb than HD650, the lack of reverberation really turn me off. But maybe it's my system does not match with HD800. HD650 match Solo better with proper reverberation (not excessive to become echoey).

     

    Anyway, I'm coming to the coming meet, wanna give HD800 another try with different amp before totally given up.

    I place my bet on the amp 1st (that is if your ipod is at least using lineout). HD800 need a proper amp matching.
