    Was hooked on Prince's album today and kindof liked the Pink Panther soundtrack as well... on LP that is.

    Got to agree with you on both counts. I want to hear this fabled AD2000+Zana Deux combo.

    It just a matter of time. Soon he will start to sell his dynamic one by one. If I remember correct, he did mentioned that he will never go into the dark side. :whistle:

     

    That's what they all say..... but seriously, I've seen a real shift in allegiance these couple of months. Some of the converts really surprised me, didn't expect them to come over. Well am glad that more people are trying out stax earspeakers so there are more varieties to audition. At least, like that I don't have to buy so many to find out how they sound! :grin:

    got a Turntable quietly and now i think he now dun want to join us for a simple tea session :sweat::grin:

    i guess he been busy listening to Stax quietly and K1000 .... :ppth:

     

    Having tea with him these has been tremendously poisonous, dun think you'd wanna do that!

    He's not busy listening but rather he's been super busy trying to get some of us to jump with him! :ppth:

    Take it from me, you DON'T wanna even go near this guy :no::no::no:

    Interested to try that too. K1000 is very nice indeed.

     

    Well, it didnt suit me out of Jojo's amp; much preferred it out of the Gryphon or better yet my 300B amp. More romantic and sweeter mid range... perhaps I'm getting old liao. Nonetheless, did listen to the HD800 out of the apache and preferred to the K1000/Apache combo :shocking: But of course, I still prefer the K1000 out of my tube amp. It has the kind of "magic" that solid state cannot provide.

    Haha yes, its the Audiotrak Imamp that kds5000 once owned... pretty small footprint..

     

    Good for driving Grados though..

     

    The CDP is the CD5...

     

    I think I may have taken the advice "source is everything" too seriously.. :P

     

    Well, I for one think that's the way... if you can.

    I would rather jump to the highest component I can afford so I wouldn't need to think about upgrades for a long time.

    I always think its futile to upgrade in tiny steps cos you'll end up spending more. Audio, if you are addicted to good sounding music, is a never ending journey, so its safe to say you won't drop the hobby anytime soon.

     

    Source is everything since whatever comes out of it is filtered downstream, just like the importance of the power supply.

    As much as I am enjoying this set-up, I somehow feel that something crucial is lacking.. :P:doh:

    No thanks, mine got lights! :grin: This is Hot Toys version but this one is modified to include leds and optic fibre to light up like in the movies :party:
