You can hardly find a reason to regret getting the Ety. Of course, some of us will move on to higher end IEMs, but the ER4P/S will leave a good impression of what the music should sound like. Nothing more, nothing less.

Let Uncle Wilson have a look at it. I'm sure he will get you a replacement if it's really a defective piece.
-
Probably, still sourcing for the right materials to start. Apparently, Earsoft FX are known to give good results.
-
Interesting, I'll look out for them the next time I am at Guardian or something.

Anyone knows where I can get these locally? For more information: http://earplugstore.stores.yahoo.net/eeafxdifoear.html

I agree with you that headphones and amp synergy is important. I find that the synergy of X1 with ER-4S really decent. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Personally, I find that the headphone out is a step improvement from the first generation. It's iPod, with it being so small, don't expect the internal amplification unit to be top-notch. After using a line-out to an external portable amp, I never looked back. But whether it is worth all the cost, it's up to you to decide.

If the shirt clip is used and properly worn, microphonics is not an issue. Just get them, you will never regret as you've made the right choice.

Please quote me on the 75ohm adapter.

Anyone here has diy'ed a 75ohm adapter that is similar to Xin's adapter http://www.fixup.net/tips/ety/ety.htm ? If yes, can you do one for me? Else, can you direct me to where I can get materials to diy one myself?
