  1. Hmm actually its quite cheap to buy from Inokii too if you're into heavier genres of music. And they have some rare stuff but you've got to ask the shopkeeper. He's really friendly too so its great. Don't really like HMV or Borders when buying these albums since the prices are crazy. Mainstream albums sold there are okay though.... mostly.
  2. Hey there does anyone know where I might be able to get the abovementioned DVD in Singapore? It's HYDE's FIRSTLIVE DVD which is due to be released on 08/11/06 in Japan. It contains his HYDE TOUR 2006 FAITH. Thanks!
  3. Where did you find it? I listen to that sort of progressive metal music so I could recommend some places to buy it. You could try Inokii which is located at the 2nd level of Far East Shopping Center (next to Scotts). Its along the back row of shops. There's also another place that my friend told me about but I haven't been there before. He tells me its at Peninsula Plaza. Really not sure about that one though. For such a non-mainstream band's CD, I don't think you'll have much luck at That CD Shop or Borders. Possibly HMV though but prices there are exorbiant.
  4. Just asking, is it possible to convert audio tracks from a lower bitrate to a higher one and get the extra sound quality? Or would I have to rip the songs again to get the higher quality with a higher bitrate?

    Wooden iPod

The click wheel makes it look like a toy heh... Looks cool though... But I think I prefer iPods thet way they are. Nice and plain!
  6. Yeah I agree. For me, I'd choose the former. But I guess I try to have as much of both worlds as possible haha.
  7. Wow seriously?? hahaha. sh*t you're making me feel guilty.
  8. Well I own a Moto Razr v3i and I've always wanted to use the iTunes player cos its so convenient. But the headphones suck!!!! So well, do you guys know of any adaptor or something that I can use so that I can connect my own earphones to the phone? Thanks...
  9. Now I'm really in to Coldplay's Fix You and Guns n Roses's November Rain.
  10. haha yeah. my friends all thought my new UM1s looked riduculous especially for the orange foam tips. oh well... i'm not the one missing out...
  11. Hmmm I use a 4G 20GB iPod with a Westone UM1. My volume's about 30-35%. Never really need to adjust it even in a crowded place... I use the Rock equaliser.

    Eartips

Hey I just wanted to know what are the most common types of eartips that you guys use. I'm currenlty using the shorter foam eartips that came with the UM1s but I kind of feel they don't provide very good sound. Good enough, probably, but I tried the longer foam eartips and the sound was better. Problem was I think they were a little too long for my ear canal so they tended to cause the drivers to stick out a an odd angle and they sometimes caused a bit of discomfort (the harder rubber inside the eartip was poking at the wall of my ear). I've been hearing about modified Tri-Flange to Bi-Flange eartips... are they better? Or should I just stick to my short foam eartips? Thanks!
  13. Just came back from Jaben. Bought the UM1s! =) While I was there I also tried out the Etymotics ER6i. Well, to put it simply, I just don't see how it can compare to the UM1s. The sound is like... very delicate. Okay I should stop treading on unfamiliar ground. Anyway, thanks all for your advice. I'm really loving it!
  14. Hrmm... After ploughing through the boards again I've kind of lost interest in the Zen Aurvanas haha. The Westone UM1s sound attractive. May I know where might be the best place to shop for these earphones? I've been seeing alot of Stereo Electronics at Causeway Point but its really far for me since I stay around Holland Road. I would go if I didn't have any other choice though...
  15. Hi everyone. I just joined the forums and I can't believe I didn't find it earlier. Anyway, I'm currently looking for a new pair of earphones for my iPod. Previously owned 2 pairs of Sony N.U.D.E.X earphones and the rubber sheathing that was supposed to protect the wires were of really poor quality and gave in to wear and tear very easily. So both of them are now being chucked aside cos they look really horrible now. Just to clarify my position, I've never tried the high end types like Shure and Ultimate Ears cos I'm still a student and those are waaaaay out of my price range. The Sony ones that I used were, to me, already expensive at about $60 a piece so I guess you can understand where I'm coming from haha. Really new territory for me here. So anyway my budget is now about $150-200 and I was thinking of getting the Creative Zen Aurvanas. Any opinions on this? Would I be better off with another earphone of around the same price? P.S. What's the current price of the Zen Aurvanas? The Creative site quotes SG$235 but I think that's quite ridiculous considering the exchange rate from US$99. Thanks!
