Mine was the hiss. It irritated me alot. It occured like about once a minute. But only audible when the music level was low, or if I turned the volume completely down. I'm praying that this problem won't come back.

Go to Stereo Electronics or Jaben(not sure whether they have these models), try them out for yourself and see which one you like most. Can ask them to recommend other phones within your budget also.

Umm i've never seen anyone wearing PMX100 besides me .. are they really that bad or rare? (and i live in bishan as well for that matter =P)

I travel to Penang for work quite frequently. Come to think of it, I hardly see anyone wearing earphones nor headphones. At the workplace yes, but not on the streets or in the malls.

I saw the other PA2V2 where postage is only 4USD and assumed same. Wah, really dangerous to bid for ebay stuff man, seems like besides the winning bid price + postage, still got a few dollars more for postal insurance required as per the amount. Dun really know how to see. Anyway, thanks. Really find so many tube amps in ebay, all sorts of fantastic or weird designs. But i think i can't have tube amp in my home becos not nosey kids (nephew/niece) safe.

 

But why the postage from HK to Sing so exp??? even cost more than the amp??? The bid winner paying SGD about 255.95 SGD (39+47 =86 pounds) Issit still good price for the XS708b?

Maybe that's why the winning bid is low, most of the cost goes into the shipping. But at 255.95 SGD still seems like a good price. I think some people bought it from other sources at around S$300. A second hand unit will cost around $200.

Anyway I've noticed that you're also considering the iCute amps. If possible try to audition the amps and see which you like most. Good luck to your search

The rest of the CD is drumming rather like Taiko, but including such percussion as cybals, gongs, bells, sampled sounds, and of course tabla and those booming big Japanese taiko drums. The one i saw in ebay comes in a different with differen density ones, i think iit should still be cheaper. . . and shipping charges only for 1 set. I might be interested to go for at lest 2 sets. If anyone is interested.

Maybe you can organise a MO bah? Think there should be quite alot of people interested.

my cd 63 also got this problem.

you can open the box up and apply a bit of grease on the belt that control the tray, but the sound will go off after a few runs.
