  1. Just saw yr prob here. You could try using a big piece and stick the rest out. But the question remains: what the hell is blu-tak doing in yr um1 in the 1st place?!
  2. Answered all PMs, offer still open. Thanks for the interest guys!
  3. Answered all PMs, offer still open! Will let go for $140 if close by this week.
  4. Sorry, no. Its the same as the ones in the pictures by Stereo Electronic in the announcements section. Thick black cable in black techflex terminated in Canare F-12 mini plugs. All the accessories bought some time after the amp. Can't say when as no receipts for those.
  5. Have a GV5 bought at Jaben in Oct 2006, letting go as upgrading. Only used occasionally at home. Perfect working condition, Physical condition 9/10, no visible scratches whatsoever. Receipt included. Will include with the sale: 1x Powerex True 9.6v 230maha battery 1x Intercept charger for battery 1x Ultimate Link Black Emperor IC from Stereo Electronics All accessories in perfect working condition and bought after getting the amp. All for only $150!! PM me if interested!
  6. I find the um1 to be rather treble-less. Funny that you guys are saying it has sharp treble and clarity.
  7. I bought a pair of t11 unheard for my sis, had a long listen and didn't like it. Sounds too congested and closed in, even through my GV5.

    spoilt k81dj

That part fails very easily, quite a few headfiers got the same problem. Get a replacement or a recable.
  9. My head's not small, but I use at 7 only. U really have to bend the headband properly before u can get a good fit. Did u take out the inner foam pads when u audition it? That clears up the bass and improves clarity and treble.
  10. Is the set at SE burnt in yet? Cuz k81 out of the box really sucks.
  11. I'm biased towards k81 myself , but that's cuz I own one. I've listened to both for some time, and I think both sound similiar, just that one has more bass, the other is airy. One is closed for good isolation, the other is very light and comfy for home use. Admittedly, I've recabled my k81 with canare to bring it closer to ms1's details and treble without losing the kickin' bass.
  12. MS1 is supposedly better than sr60 and sr80, but ymmv. For auditioning grados you can also try music by design, also in adelphi.
  13. Some of the oem items in silver foil/plastic packaging have been reported as fake items elsewhere. For iems around your budget you can look for e2c, um1, sf3, im716, d-jay, e6i, ck7. For headphones there's ms1, k81dj, ad400, ad500... Just to name a few...
  14. Actually, after burn in and removing the pads, there's no boominess in the k81dj at all. Bass is still strong, but fast and tight. If you don't need the isolation at all and don't plan to use it outdoors then by all means get the ms1. Its more comfy, airy, and you can swap pads to get the sound you like. There's only a $50 price difference. I think it boils down to what you need, since the sound signature is very alike between these two, only the open and closed designs and its implications that make the difference.
  15. I agree completely. K81dj is even better with drum n bass music. The impact can blow you away. The one thing I feel MS1 does better is in the airness of the sound, oh, and the comfort too.
