  1. Hi TS, any updates on the Hornet, especially since you should have hit the 400hrs burn in as required.

I just received my Hornet M today. Since we are both on Alessandro headphones, do you feel that the Hornet sort of "tame" some of the "harsh" treble for Alessandro?

  2. I just invested in the MS1 6 weeks ago. Now its fully burned in. More than 100 hours, maybe even 200 hours.

I had been using Sony EX71 and various buds before that. I hate the E2C due to the cable management system. I have bought and sold thus far the following players,

Creative 64MB player back in 2000

    iPod 5GB 1st Generation

Went into MD players for awhile

Then back to the iRivers flash based players,

iPod 20GB 4th Generation (Non Photo)

    iPod 20GB 4th Generation (Photo)

    Now I'm back with a 2nd Gen 8GB Nano.

So I started out here and found out about MS1. I had been hearing about Grados for the past 3 years and when I decided to purchase a headphone they ranked top on my list.

Then this obsession just worsened when I read about ICs and Amps. My wallet's complaining especially since I just ordered a Hornet M.

It's going to get even worse as I'm starting to think of Beyers and MS Pro.

  3. Hi there. I'm also looking forward to getting a Hornet.

Since its not essentially a very big price difference between the Hornet and the SR71, are there any incentive(s) to choose the SR71 over the Hornet?

    Thanks in advance.

  4. According to Audio Technica Singapore, it is impossible to have the HA5000 in Singapore or any country that doesn't run 110v, Japan will not make the 220 version and will not sell to any country that will attempt to modify the amp to fit the local 220v as it will compromise the sound quality.

Just a question, for an amp such as HA5000 which runs on 110v, using an external voltage step up step down transformer, will it degrade the SQ?

  5. Hi all. May I know where is the AKG service centre in Singapore?

I've a pair of AKG 240 where the sponge (not the doughnut pads) covering for the drivers need to be replaced. Or are there anyone else who can do it as the sponge is literally flaking out. It's not covered by warranty as its more than 5 years old.
