  1. ANC3: I can't remember how much it costs, but sound quality-wise, it didn't appeal to me. It felt and sounded like one of those earbud type earphones with a canal-stub fitted on. Comfort-wise, the electronic noise-cancelling pod was a little annoying.

CK7: my favourite canalphone thus far and the one I'm planning to buy (if I can get my lazy arse over to SE...) To me, it sounds clear, detailed and relatively 'open' compared to the 'in-the-head' feeling I get with some other phones. It's also fairly comfortable, compared to the 'violater'-type IEMs. Plus, I'm a sucker for the gleaming titanium casing *blush*

As many will tell you on this forum, nothing beats listening to phones yourself. After all, what matters most is what YOU like, not what XYZ reviewer liked. After all, it's YOUR ears and YOUR wallet. Choose wisely :)

  2. Seriously who can beat Ayumi Hamasaki the J-Pop Queen? It has been 7 years in the making and she still retain this title.

i like her younger days.. (1st - 3rd album times)

IMHO.. wats up with the trembling n vibrations in her voice these days??

  3. not really a reccomendation..

but anyway.. i have to record meetings @ work every week..

and the duration is 2 hours.. amazingly it dosen't drain much battery!

quality is satifactory (picks up voice of everyone who talked in the room) and its in wma format..

my DAP is zen v plus.

have u considered using ur handphone to record?? i have a nokia fone and the recording quality is pretty good. its in .amr format though.. uncompatible to many media players.. in addiction, i recorded for 1 hour only and it drained most of the battery..

  4. But it seems like it clashes with the Creative Stone. $69 for 1GB without screen and $99 for 2GB with screen.

Doesn't seem that economical/logical to purchase the Creative Stone don't you think?

yup, i was pretty surprised too at the pricing.. i tot that the price was for 1gb.. but no its 2gb.

i feel sorry for my friend who bought the zen stone when it 1st came out~~

  5. err...yepp is samsung.

so your list should read: iriver, samsung, cowon.

mostly a matter of preference but i'll pick Samsung for now.

yup i do know yepp is by samsung but..

yepp is more of flash USB type while samsung mp3 players are more sophisticated?

there may b difference in SQ~ e.g shuffle vs ipod vid

    x2

DAP per se doesn't always give poor sound. Couple a poor DAC with bad/inefficient earphones and you get dis-satisfaction.

    What head/earphones were you using?

    hmm.. my experience is this:

no brand mp player: terrible hiss

creative v200: good SQ. player lack of features thou..

my current creative zen v: lack of bass. with bass boost switched on.. it distorts sound. sad!

tried my fren's yepp: clear, loud and nice bass.

yup so im gathering more details b4 i go out n buy my nex DAP~~ thanks 4 da info guys ^_^

oh my phones are non high-end senns mx400 n px100~
