good review .. would be nice if you could have included UE TF10 into the group. That's where I eventually ended up after starting from the mayler X3

Found this link on Head-Fi forums. Though you folks might wanna see this as well. Confirmed my worst fears, my beloved garbage CDs are simply .. errmm .. not of good mastering.
Maybe we should start a Good Mastering CD and Bad Mastering CD Thread somewhere ..

hmmm
i dun really like the sf's wiring ard the ear.
i mean im ok wif the design but its juz tt the wire seems 2 stiff and all
so the wire doesnt seem to be like clinging on to my ear, it juz doesnt look right
hmmm any other alternatives???
you can try the SF with ES2 cables .. the ES2 cables are much better then the UE cables in terms of sound and comfort

i'm not much of a bass head.
would prefer it blending with the music rather than the "thump thump thump" type
In that case, you should try the SF5Pro with ES2 cables.

Garbage. 1st 2 CDs, don't bother about the rest.

I am using the iAudio x5L with superfi 5 and I can hear the difference bwteen XRCDs and normal CDs. It's really frustrating not to be able to obtain XRCD versions of those normal CDs that i like. The range of XRCDs are really quite limited.

my suggestion is to top up a little bit more to get the UE TF10. But then again, that's my preference, I have moved from the mayler X3 to the current TF10 after many trials and buying/selling. Suggest you head down to Jaben to test the UE TF10.
