haha yah i forgot to short them, concentrated too much on making the drawing neat. -
i would agree that its your laptop sound card. maybe check the settings of the sound card under control panel > sound
-
they actually also have the Teflon Film Tin Foil (TFTF) version, the slightly cheaper version.
-
pvc is used in the cheaper variants.

drew how you would wire it. i believe you are pretty proficient at DIYing -excuse the ugly drawing- [attachmentid=3936] -
HD600 recabled with UPOCC Silver with Cryo treatment. After recable it lost some warmth but gained a slightly wider soundstage,a tad better separation, quite a bit more clarity and it is even more transparent now. -Pics taken with handphone camera, sorry about the quality-

yes they are unfortunately. the problem they are facing is pretty huge. give them some time yeah? im experiencing withdrawal too.
-
you can always get someone who is good at diy
-
for your preference i'd suggest you get a tube or hybrid amp. that'll get you the vocal warmth that you require.

Try looking for a used PS Audio GCHA http://www.psaudio.com/products/gcha_headp...er_overview.asp IIRC its about 600+USD? Cant really remember and head-fi is down. Edit: Confirmed that the GS-1 is a Dynahi and the GS-X is a Dynalo but the PSU is built in.
-
maybe you should factor in DIY amps too.
-
Wow. Totally what I do for a living. That is some serious servers out there. I wonder if they use SUN servers
-
it actually upgrades your SOHA to supposedly sound as good as the millet MAX. PS: need absence from head-fi fix.
-
its switches out the opamps in your gain stage to a discrete buffer (which use jfet and bjt).
-
there should be some spare. try posting in headwize.
-
are you looking at a solid state or a tube?
-
AFAIK Cat5 is solid core no?

i just completed my b22 too. i have recabled my hd600 with upocc cryo silver wires. i also have the stock hd600 cables. i agree with most of your points. the speed of ss with the warmth of tube and also the temperature dependant part. the thing i disagree is that the b22 dont extend high enough. i found that the warm signature is just nice. the sound it produces is also very emotional and musical. btw my setup is iMod > b22 > hd600 it could be the source that's causing the difference.

ah my bad. it is 230mAh.

yeah eastgear. im not sure how much though. call or pay them a visit.
