  1. thanks for the replys. how about good gaming headsets for home use? any brands and models to introduce?
  2. dear bros, I plan to get my friend a present for his housewarming. Please do help me out the criteria is as follows: 1. Noise-cancellation 2. Headset 3. Senns if possible 4. Budget around $250 5. Good for gaming purposes. THanks bros. better if u can recommend places where i can test it as well. Cheers
  3. maybe tech shops in chinatown may still carry it. alternatively, u may wanna try the thieves market in Sungei Road.
  4. thanks for the offer stereo, could you advise me on the pricing of the flanges(buds) you carry. btw i am not sure on how changing the flanges would improve the sound any bros care to share on that? Cheers
  5. i wouldn't or in the least doctors wouldn't advise thumping bass from IEM coz it is really very very damaging to the ear drums due to the close proximity of the buds.
  6. fromjava, i don't think iRiver is from Japan. They are made in cchina but it's a US brand more popular in Hong Kong side, where iRiver's asia HQ seems to be located. Most of us iRiver users are getting the Hong Kong version, which is usually more outdated in terms of firmware versions. Cheers
  7. dridiot - Wow, costs a bomb man. thanks, but i am on a tight budget, no point buying so ex then i have to stave lah. hahaha. of the 2 what do u recommend though? athenaesword - mylars can be tested at jaben located at adelphi, which is at city hall MRT opp funan.
  8. Let's put it this way, a vote between 2 low cost IEMs. Cresyn E530 vs ATH-CK5.
  9. cresyn e630/UE biflange. can it be tested before i buy? actually i am looking more at the CK5 to replace the CK32 coz the specs look better but not sure hows the performance of it. any bros care to share?
  10. will keep that in mind. thanks man.
  11. ok, thanks man. btw, does more bass eg. the MX400 mean more sacrificing of the clarity of the sound? coz the mx 400 doesnt compromise the clarity.
  12. where can i try the mylars though?
  13. Gene83-Seal is good, coz the sound insulation is really something you can't complain about. however, the Ck32's bass really dissappoints me.. blurgal35- i have been using them since late march, early april at an average of abt 30-45mins a day so shouldn't be a problem. However, the SENN's fit in my ear isn't that good, insulation is a problem, length is a problem. the only thing that's good is that it's sound can compliment and support my player's sounds nicely. btw, i did a bit of research on the MX400, its nominal impendance of 32 ohms seems to be almost twice of what other earphones have at around 16-18 ohms. is that the reason for the rich sound using the original earbuds? when i am looking for an earphone with bass enough to project an iRiver's bass should i loook to have more impendance, sensitivity, output power or the frequency response range? Cheers for replies.
  14. Hello bros, was wondering how to replace my original iRiver earphones as the bass for it was really good. I am currently using a ATH-CK32, which almost made me cry upon first usage as the bass was not even there. So, was wondering if i got the CK 5, would there be any improvement. I am looking at a few things for an earphone, 1. Bass (Very Important) 2. Sound range must be good (Not particular) 3. Price must be below $70 still studying lah, although tempted to reach for those good BOSE or AT high end ones but, too painful to part with my cash yet. Thanks
