  1. Heard that the Mitsubishi AZO Blue Diamond is not to shabby either, it ranks among the Taiyo Yudens. You can get it at Chamoxa, SLS 6th Floor. I think it is $13 for 25 CDs

I went to SLS yesterday.....saw lots of Japanese brand but made in taiwan.....

I saw the mitsubishi too.....not stated the country of manufacture....seems to be from Japan......

  2. hmm...I have bought lots of stuff from them.....recently I bought a yamaha mixer from them 3 weeks ago....later found out that it seems that the headphone output have some problems.....brought to the boss....told him the problem....changed for me without even checking.....guess I buy to many things from him? happy.gif

  3. Wonder if anyone hear burns audio cds? Being listeners requiring more from audio....wondering which are the better ones.......

Some of my friends recommend the Yamaha which has a function just to burn audio at 4x....wondering if the ever popular TDK cd writer can burn just as good audio cds?

  4. the full name is just Midiman Dman PCI soundcard....two rca in and out and one midi in and out....uses only 18 bit crystal conversion....

I guess the cool edit does bypass the windows.....not sure if it use MME or ASIO or kernel-streaming drivers.....

It does really sounded different when I mixdown to 2 wave tracks and played using cooledit and played straight from the windows cd player......hmmm....thats why it sounded different.

My guess is if I were to burn it on cds and play it on my NAD cd player, it should sound better than playing with windows cd player......

  5. the hp890 seems just as open.....I have tried it once at hung bros.....dont really like the bass....seems too bassy to me.....

anyway....hoping to get maybe an 840 used for about 40 bucks.......and save my money to get more condenser microphones ;p

  6. don't get me started on soundcards. what you read about soundcards, namely the Creative ones, which are SLAMMED by HTPC (home-theatre PC) users everywhere, is that all of them, right up to the latest Audigy2 resample everything to 48khz. ie. everything's resampled, including CD audio at 44.1khz. and the algorithms used are crappy, hence sound quality is compromised. now this is not true of all soundcards, ie. not all resample to 48khz, eg. the M-audio revo, which with the right programs, like foobar2k, will bypass windows' kmixer straight to the outputs, WITHOUT resampling.

I've read comparisons of the Revo, comparing them to a lot of low-mid level CDPs and the owners actually preferred the Revo.

anyway, this's de-railing from my topic.

Ablaze: I find that when I play my cds straight from my Maudio card, it doesnt sound as good as if I were to rip it directly using Cooledit and playing it in Cooledit.

Just wondering if my soundcard will bypass windows kmixer.......

  7. Any one has tried this pair of headphones....it only sells for less than 50 dollar....I need more headphones for my home studio but cannot afford those high cost ones.......
