each pair, you mean 2 pieces?
recommended retail price is only $25 for a pack of 10 your first photo?
I think I saw it at Apple Centre at Wheelock for $22.95, or maybe it's $24.95... it's a good price. Paid a lot more ordering direct from Shure USA
-
currently the hiss is so bad on many tracks that it is almost white noise. it is like having a plastic bag flagging in a hurricane right in front of your face that actually can rival the music in volume. the weird thing is that even within the same cd there are tracks that hiss and some that dont. it is actually very distracting. your mond immediately tunes in on it and just irritates the hell out of me
Hissing can also be reduced by using an attenuator to increase the impedence on the wire. You can use the one from UE, or Shure or Etymotics.. All should achieve the same purpose. The Ety ones are quite expensive though
-
Are these the same ones sold by Apple Store at Wheelock Place? I saw them being sold for $22.95 for 5 pairs. But not sure if it's the same

What player are you using? Foobar2k? cheers

hmm i heard bad services regarding the changing of es cables for the sf iems
I seriously doubt so. I think I was one of the first who changed the cable if not the first a few months back and my SF5Pros are still working well. The cable mod works very well, the microphonics reduction alone is already more than worth it!
-
Yup I think CDs (even with DVD content) are usually passed with no hassle. Be very careful about buying DVDs, though. One of two of my DVDs (bought from reputable online sellers and sent through registered mail) have never arrived - I suspect they were held up by Customs and Censorship. They used to call people to go down but now they no longer do so but just confiscate the DVD
Wow.. but if it is registered mail, you should be able to track it. Might take 2-3 months though.

Chinese medical hall, Guardian or any pharmacies.
I bought a box of 100 alcohol swabs from Guardian for a few bucks. Well worth it. Great for cleaning your earpieces too.

Yes it is..... many many yerars back i tried one of these sony discman from a friend, about the same exterior design, all metal casing, looked and felt like a piece of hardware rather than some plastic-ky toy....But since it is made in the late 80's/early 90's era doubt it's able to play CDR/CDRW....
Usually certain brands and batches of CDRs does work well with my old Discmans. You might need to burn them and try. I am using Philips, TY and Mitsubishi without problems. Old stock from 2-3 years back though as once I found them to work, I bought more just in case the newer ones don't work.

hmmm
so where can i change to these es2 cables??
I think you can get them both from Jaben at Adelphi or Stereo in Woodlands. Much more comfortable and easier to coil too. I got both the 48" and 60" ones for my SF5Pro and TF10Pro.
-
sf5pro is so overpriced in sg.
its on promotion now, i can get them for $200 with shipping. lets say sending them back to US cost ard $50 each time, dun think it will break down more than 5times within 2yrs bah.
It's more of the hassle in case it doesn't work well the first few days, if not, I don't think there should be any problem. And if your cables have problems or are damaged, you can always replace them locally without shipping them back to the US.
-
well.. currently doing my NS, wont be able to spend too much
i would say less then 100$
btw anyone know where can i go to look look see see?
haha.. Thanks guys
Depending on where you are located. Stereo Electronics at Woodlands or Jaben in Adelphi are great places to see and hear for yourself. Welcome to the beginning of your wallet's agony!
