My advice is to try some before getting any portable amp for your D2. The output power of D2 is insanely high and there are some comments that when pairing the D2 with some amps like tomahawk,hornet, the result is almost the same, with very small change.

If you think you are not a basshead, try the X3 or ER6i. Both of them have good details, and little bass.

Both EP630 and Mylars fit your 3rd requirement. EP630 has bass quantity, but a bit muddy, low-detailed. The Mylar has good sound at low volume, nice details but lacks bass. My recommendation is UE Super.fi 3 Studio. Just wonder if your friend likes its design or not.

If I want the PK2 J cord, will the price still 67.76$ ?
