  2. One of my all time favorite LP is Fairytales by the late Norwegian singer Radka Toneff.

The recording is oustanding among vocal/piano duet albums. Unfortunately, this was to be Radka Toneffs last studio recording in 1982. IMHO the "Fairytales" album is a special album in all senses.

A must have/desert island discs for all who love jazz vocals.

    ya...good vocal...very touching....available in CD too...one of my favorites........

  3. Hi pple, since u r on this now, can I ask if u pple know any local forum that deals with such MP3 player? The places where I can get it cheap... like the 180TC that lekguan mentioned? 180TC I've seen at SLS.

  4. I have this unit, the line-out volume can indeed be adjustable.

But my advice is not to worry about it. The sound quality of

this unit is very good, and that's whats most important.

Besides, I would think it is a digital volume controller so just

leave it at 100% if you fear degration.

    hi,

you have the 550! that's great......any comments on the quality and reliability? a bit hesitant to get it as there are a number of -ve feedback on the 550 on the internet...........

care to share where u got it and for how much?

    thanks...........

    cheers...........

  5. hi all,

need some enlightenment here on iRiver imp-550's line out, esp for those using iRiver products....read in the internet that the iRiver has not true line out, i.e. the volume of the line out could be adjusted by the volume control of the player............

how would this effect the sound out to an headphone amp?

    thanks in advance............

    Rgds.

  9. Hi all,

Haven't been around for awhile. First job, first weeks, man i miss school life. tongue.gif

Want to ask, are there any PDAphiles here? What's the coolest / bestest thing in the market now? As in, if you had a choice and budget isn't a problem, which would you get?

    Appreciate any inputs on this.

(And no, this is not for myself. The company's thinking of buying one for the CEO to use.)

(Though i hope to get to play with it first. holiday.gif )
