  4. I have two of his version, one old recording and one quite recent. Have not really spent lots of time with both of his recordings. I would say no big problems, but his playing is not as refine in the fine details but does not affect overall musicality. Strange enough, we know he is a 'naughty' soloist but for this great violin piece his treatment to it is as serious as the other soloist, not like his Four Seasons (which I cannot really agree with him well : D)
  5. Sennheiser headphones are not difficult to drive. In fact PCDP can drive HD600 and HD650 direct without much issue. HD 800 a bit more difficult direct from certain PCDP but desktop headamp should have no issue driving it.
  6. Warranty starts 8 Jun 2009. Still in original wrapping.

  8. Well, as least for me I am the same as u, the whole idea is to create nice images. Equipment is just a tool. Film or digital is just different form. Same as hifi. The aim is music, the system is just the tool.
  9. Didn't know u are also into photography : )

  18. Blues, only one word, WOW! Free and easy and alone?
  19. Good piano recordings (based on music and interpretation) a lot, but good piano recordings (in terms of hifi) very difficult to find. Piano is a very difficult instrument to record. So far from what I have heard good audiophile recordings mainly are jazz music or some pops. In classical music very difficult to achieve good results I guess due to the great dynamics. Despite that, I have no problem enjoying classical piano recordings, just focus on the music itself, forget about how a piano should sound .......
  20. Happy birthday N@Z! Are u still using your Clou Red?
  21. Some good news for film lovers: http://www.apug.org/forums/forum172/54564-...-news-film.html
  22. Well, S5Pro a good choice for nice colour reproduction. Do u know are firefox and av98m still into photography? As for Leica, I am not so sure about their strategy. I feel that Zeiss's approach is more sensible, at least their products are more reachable to those who do not have lots of cash to burn. As for Leica, the S2 to me is neither here nor there (but the 'neither' could also be a market opportunity and a good compromise between image quality and price but then Leica price is always......) As for the M system, the M8 does not seems to make good sense without the IR filter, and while Zeiss is going small in their lens design like 35/2.8, 21/4.5 and 85/4, Leica is go against their own philosophy of compact M photography and producing very expensive and huge 21/1.4, 24/1.4 and 50/0.95. We will see then. Digital CCD/CMOS data management needs lots of fine tuning, and I dun think the German can catch up with the Japanese who have spent so many manhours into it. Anyway Leica is using Kodak sensors.
