  1. Oh yes, Kodak and Fuji is definitely scaling down their film production, but the China brand Lucky film is up and coming (what I said as big boys reduction in profits and small player new business opportunity). http://www.chiifcameras.com/site2/index.ph...id=51&Itemid=43
  2. Hi Blues, what digital system are u into now, still Nikon? D700? With Zeiss now releasing ZF lenses for Nikon ZE lenses for Canon, very tempting to buy the full frame DSLR, but price still too high for me to jump into a new system.
  3. Not likely the end for film, some of my views at http://www.fuwen.net/index.php?option=com_...d=71&Itemid=131 As the big players see dropping in profit for selling film, small players find new business opportunities in selling film to even a small market segment. Well film will probably never be the main stream photography media again. As I have said I am faily sure that film will out-live me. : )

  17. Hi! Friend, happy birthday to u! Time flies, I thought I just wished u happy birthday a while ago ...............
  18. Hi! Do not quite understand your question. But to answer in general, I prefer DG artists very much, those good old days u also got very well photographed CD front covers (strange reason for buying a particular label, but u know I am a crazy (film) photographer.), and DG has the most good artists under their label. Recording wise DG not really the best, in fact many audiophiles consider DG recordings sometimes harsh. Decca has better recordings. I prefer European orchestras like Berlin Philharmonic and Wiener Philharmonic. To me the European orchestras are more refined, especially the woodwinds and brass. In particular the woodwinds of Berlin Phil, they are really good, despite already gone through a few generation of musicians. Recordings that I like can be found on my website and in this thread. BTW, I do not particularly like Brahms, and in general Kleiber's recordings are just about average, it is his interpretation that attracts..... lively and energetic.
  19. In case u have not read my article on Kleiber and are keen: http://www.fuwen.net/index.php?option=com_...id=16&Itemid=48
