' date='27 Sep 2006, 07:43 PM' post='80637']I have a close friend whose e3c's nozzle got broken 3 times..
In 2 years...
SO maybe u guys should try to avoid it, or we are getting a bad production line, who knows?
I didn't have any issues with my E3c when I was still using thoes. Well the E4c's have replaceable nozzles so no issues here.

Yup that's the one. Too bad my photography skills are really bad. Will do injustice to this gorgous creation if I post mine.

Sorry if i sounds noob. Coz i've never heard there's such expensive IEM arounds. LOL
Headphones, yes i understand but IEM... its so small yet so expensive. LOL
Haha.. The 'Ãnverse' law applies. The smaller the thing, the more expensive it is.
Actually there is a newer model E500 which is retailing about $8xx.
Well there are sme other custom IEM that costs twice of E500.

do the cable suffer the same poor quality one as ex70? tt will really be an issue, isn't it... cost so much yet quality buangz...
After owning several pairs of EX70 and 71, I doubt Sony will ever improve its build quality. Been using Shures the past 2 years and the cable quality is superb. I don't mind paying slightly more for better build quality which I feel is a good investment.

hi, happen to agree with Mackie on that point. i find myself turning to my md when listening to classical and jazz. albeit the cd player sounds as good, but mine pcdp is like 11 yrs old and is not portable at all so still rely on my md player.
as for whether md sound reproduction is better, think to put that in context, i use my md recorder for my gigs and the quality of the live recording surpasses the recording on my U3 by miles.
argh, someone has an MZ-NH1?! if you ever want to get rid of it ..... i happen to think it's ultra sexy ..... would love to adopt it from you.
I do have one still in relatively pristine condition. A bit collecting dust nowdays.
PM me if you're interested.

Was it a newly acquired pair? My E500 sounded like that the first week or so I had it. It was only in the second or third week when the sound really started to shine.
Huh? You mean E500 needs a 'burn in'. I thought it's using armature drivers. Tecninically no need to burn-in right?
-
yup, have to agree.
MDP and PCDP sounds way better den DAP.
Yup true. Eventhough it usually has a lower power output compared to Pods, my MZ-NH1 works like a charm with my Grado SR-325i. Too bad I don't bring it outdoors. If not looks like a 'bling bling'.
-
I donno dude... MD just seems dead. Why not go back to CD player?
BTW what's hi md? Hifi MD deck?
A Hi-MD is a relative new MD that is able to hold about 1GB of data in one disk. It's also backward compatiable with the old MDs but only achieving about 300MB of data. I do have the 1st generation Hi-MD flagship model MZ-NH1. The SQ is simply superb compared to my 5G iPod. Too bad I only use occassionally nowdays.

Used this when I brought the CANs to camp(SR80 not this 325i's)
Got these at Popular for less than 5 bucks. My friends thought it costs a lot more.
The case:
Inside (Used the original foam in the'pizza' box and for the surrounding, just normal sponge that I had from buying PC hardware:

paisay go down ask already no money buyCan always say that you're still saving up. The owner would understand as the thing is not cheap either.
-
This would be hard. The Grados has a unique sound signature and I've never heard and headphones/earphones has similar sound to it.
-
Life pictures would be nice too.
-
So how's the MS1 compared with the SR-80? I have both the SR-80 and SR-325i which is comparable to the MS1 and MS2i respectively.
Bought the Grados as I can audition them first.
-
I think it would be better to take out the batteries (troublesome as the cover is screws tightened) and charge by OEM charger. That's what I do. No need to worry of overcharging too. Not as if need to change daily. At most I change the batteries once a week.
-
Where to test out the cables. Want to get better cables as my Cardas HPI doesn't seems to be performing well with my PA2V2.
-
Actually wanted to get the MS-2i but there's now way I could audition it first and got the SR-325i instead.
Still itching how the MS-2i sounds like.
-
Selling for $155.
Still in mint condition and barely used. Max at 5hrs.
Reason:
My friend bought the Grados after listening to mine. But when he bought it back to his camp(serving NS), the people in his bunk is making a lot of noise and he prefer to listen with his E3c due to better isolation.

Robert at LHSWhat's LHS?
-
Thanks Mackie. So how much a 5m canare cable costs?
-
-
Saw this at Adlephi yesterday for $25. Is it a good buy and how the cable sounds like?
-
Me? I just leave it connected to my mini compo each night when I go to sleep and tune it to a radio station and leave the volume at listening levels. You mean that you do not burn-in the cans throughout the day?
It better with an amp if not from PCDP headphone out.Ok point taken.
-
Just bought the Grado SR-325i just now and it's burning-in time. Is it better to burn in the cans using an amp or straight from the source?
I don't have a CDP yet so most likely using my PCDP via line out.
Comments please. Thanks
suggestions to replace trusty md player

It looks better in real life. The magnesium body is stunning. I had the MZ-E900 with magnesium body but the MZ-NH1 just looks way better.
