  1. hi all, i'm interested in purchasing a total bithead from headroom, but it seems like the international shipping will be very costly. Can anyone give me a decent alternative? or is there any suggestions as to how i can get the total bithead in singapore? I need something like the bithead cause i'm not too satisfied with the audio card on my laptop + i need a portable amp for my ipod...
  2. Hi all, I've recently read on the net that using an ASIO plug-in for foobar will increase the quality of the music produced. I've tried it out and somehow it seems to sound better. But I dunno whether if it's xin li zuo yong... Haha. Can anyone explain to me what ASIO does? Also, I've read on certain sites to use the Stereo to 4 Channels DSP... Is this advisable? Personally, I've tried it out but I find that although the sound is abit clearer, it feels more artificial... Would like to know other opinions on this matter haha.
  3. Great, I'll go try it out. Does SE and Jaben both have it? Would the D5000 be more worth the double price?
  4. Actually, they're open cans. Soundstage wise its pretty wide, but I haven't had the chance to compare with most of the other brands. Bass wise, Sennheiser cans are definitely stronger, but the DT880 has a very clear and crisp bass, which is good for genres like jazz and acoustic music, imo. All in all I'm pretty happy with it, but I'm probably going to get a HD650 next cause I would love a stronger bass. More holes in my pocket haha
  5. Yeah, it was really off-budget... But I had some spare cash in the bank, so i couldn't resist! Haha... Yup, it was the dt880+crossroads amp bundle. Thought the dt880 alone was $450 at first, from the price guide... But i guess jaben really does sell it cheap...
  6. Thanks for the help from everyone! I busted my budget in the end and got myself a DT880 instead... and happy with it! Value for money imo... Bought it from jaben... uncle wilson was really nice, entertained a newbie like me even though the shop was quite crowded at that time... My addiction is not satisfied yet though, so I'll probably go back there again soon, maybe for a pair of closed cans next... Haha
  7. I am new to the world of audiophiles, and i got some questions regarding the bithead amp... I currently have an X-fi xtremegamer as a soundcard. But I've read from sites that the bithead amp has its own soundcard, so does plugging it in through the usb still utilize my x-fi? If no, is there a way for me to make it such that it uses my x-fi as a source rather than the one in the bithead?
  8. I'm looking for a pair of headphones primarily used for listening to music on the computer at the $250SGD or below range. Right now, I'm eyeing the HD555 Sennheiser, but I've heard that it performs better for movies and average for music. Can anyone give me any recommendations?
