Yes, true, coz I currently own an ESW-9 now, but I really can't stand the tight clamping when I wear spectacles. So somehow I am turning to a full-sized headphone though losing some portability. It's alright for me coz mostly I will use earbuds outside but only take headphones to libraries where not much portability is needed~ Thanks thanks, I wil go try Denon someday, but how about the three headphones I mentioned above? How do they perform without amp, or with a little portable amp? like iBasso D3~

I think iRiver is always famous for their good SQ among all others, but it's a rela pity they din go further into the HD player market. Otherwise I would follow to the end~

I'm looking for a comfortable closed full-size headphone, normally listen to classical, folk and some pop or rock. I'm looking at ATH A950, AKG K272 and BD DT770 these three headphones. I'm not quite planning for an amp currently, may go for a DAC/AMP in the future, portable probably coz not much room for a desk amp~~ I wonder if these headphones would fit into my taste of music and future plan for a not-so-expensive DAC/AMP, coz I read through some posts saying that the K272 and DT770 will definitely need an amp to give decent sounds, also do not know much about the A950. I listened to the A900 but do not like the sound, muddy and narrow, dun know if the A950 would have much improvement on the sounds~? Would any friend please give some suggestions on these headphones, or any other headphones from other brands since I dun know much about other brands' models, as well as some DAC/AMP suggestion, best for a portable one~ Thank you very much~~

Hi fellas, aiming to get a AKG K272 soon, how izt matching with a iBasso D3, which I found out to be a very decent portable amp with a good price in this forum? Also I have a ESW9, wonder how izt going with the iBasso D3? Thanks~ Some adds on: AKG K272 mainly for dorm use, good isolation & fit to the classical and vocal music, movie watching also~ ATH ESW9 using for on the go, with a iPod Video 5.5gen 80G~ Hoping to get a good portable amp working with both cans, home & on the go~seems iBasso D3 is the best for the price and SQ after searching~

Currently got an ESW9 using with my Ipod Video 5.5gen 80G, mainly to use on the go, but still planning to get an amp as well as another headphone for dorm and library use. Thinking going for a fullsize and closed can for comfort in long time listening as well as good isolation coz in room and lib~~ Aiming on several full-size closed headphones, AKG K272HD, DT770/80ohm and ATH A900 these three models. I think these three are also in a similar price range, am I right?? For this hp I would mainly listen to classical (more for instrumental solo and a little bit for symphony) and folk music with clear acoustic guitars, New-Age, vocals(other genres music like Pop Rock also listen but with ESW9 on the go), and this can would also be needed for watching movies sometimes. Isolation and comfort is important reason that I want to get another hp, maybe use during flight to avoid the annoying noise also~ Not planning to get a desktop amp coz no room for it and also need to be use on the go with ESW9~ SO, please fellas anyone can recommend me a portable amp and a hp with my previous description? the budget should be S$1000 together the amp and the fon, can be a little more but not too much~ Thank you very much~~ ALSO I have a newbie question regarding the DAC in a portable Amp. Wonder how would a portable amp with a DAC works when connected with my laptop? How is a output carried out when I just play APE files using foobar on my laptop and send the signals to the DAC? yes, but what i mean is the podcasts, downloaded by iTUnes, need to sync them into the iPod, coz actually can't find the downloaded podcast files in the harddrive, dun know if it is because i can't find or the files are protected, basicly wanna ask if the rockboxed iPod can switch between the original operation interface using iTunes and the rockboxed interface~ Thanks also wanna ask if rockboxed, izt possible to turn back? just like never rockboxed, coz need to check how the rockbox work out on the iPod, if not good enough to me, may need to sell it for the new IPC~~

Alright then, I got it, so must use with amp if iMod coz only line out is working, for the changed IC~ For rockbox its not the case right? I still can use both analog and line out output, still, can I sync the podcasts with iTunes if rockboxed my iPod 5.5gen? thanks
