  2. My friend and I have made a 2-player game based on bluetooth which runs on android 2.0.1 or higher. We have entered the game into the local Android Developer Challenge for students, and the app is available for download from the URL for up to 31st August, upon which the judging closes: Application name: Gaimfertu Screenshots: http://gaimfertu.appspot.com/game Download: http://android.sce.ntu.edu.sg/appsdirector...unter/idapps/47 We have no plans in the foreseeable future to turn this game into a paid app, and we plan to upload the game into the android market for free once the competition is over. Please support free apps by downloading the game. If you like the game, please evaluate it with the SADC2010 Evaluation Application. Thank you all. 1) Register as evaluator: http://android.sce.ntu.edu.sg/index.php/evaluators/login 2) Download the evaluation app: http://android.sce.ntu.edu.sg/app/eval/SAD...luationApp2.apk Just a little note that prior to the competition we had no background of JAVA, only C, and spent about 2 months learning JAVA/android coding and creating the game.
  3. good sound quality good for use in mrt/bus as it cancels a lot of the engine noise. Good value. Selling $80. contact via 97211051 SMS.
  4. as above set EQ to flat and you may want to adjust/compensate with custom EQ (does it have?) if you're still unahppy. One more thing do you listen without the ANC turned on? It sounds muffled that way. with the anc turned on it should be very easy to drive. And had a Meizu M6 and it sounded great on it.
  5. Bought for $225 ard 2.5 years old, changed earpads less than a year ago Asking only $120 comes with box, receipt, pouch, original accessories (airplane adapter, 1/4" adapter) sms 97211051
  6. Bought in december 2005. No more warranty... but still have original packaging, warranty card, receipt. Recently had the pads replaced... less than 3 months ago. So it's pretty much in a new condition. http://www.headphone.com/guide/by-ma...er-pxc-250.php http://reviews.cnet.com/headphones/s...-21258924.html I'm asking $120. Bought it then at $225. Pads replacement cost me $20+. SMS me at 97211051
  7. Selling an underutilized Beyerdynamic DT150 headphones which comes with box, manual and unfilled guarantee card. No purchase receipt. Bought from Anything Audio at $350. Looking at $280. approx 1 year old, burned in for 100 hours, after which total actual usage is at most 50 hours. SOLD
  8. You can try getting Canare L-2T2S with the canare plugs. Can be had at LHS electronincs at lv 2 Sim Lim Tower. Can ask the boss Robert to terminate (for) you (kidding!) Sound is a weee bit warm-ish, but rather pleasing. Another would be Mogami star quad 2534, though that you would have to do it yourself for asking someone to do for you (eg LHS) would cost quite a few bucks. Haven't tried this cable before but supposedly, very good (better than the L-2T2S.
  9. IMO they are a mixed bag. Sometimes the CD quality is not as good, not so even, other times it might sound better than something say, locally pressed. I get them from Chinatown. Cheapest there if i'm not wrong. There also can find a Chinese (guangzhou) singer known as Chen Jie Li, Lily. I recommend that, especially the album "hua yan qiao yu". About $16 though. Used to get all from the chinatown market there, but the hawker centre closed, don't know if the shops are still there or moved temporarily. Anyway walk around, sometimes some shops are priced higher than others but a dollar or so.
  10. Started with MDR-Q55 when I was loooking for a better pair of headphones for portable use, just based on price and gut feeling. Then went on to try EX-51(based on get feeling again). After that was EX-70 based on some reading up. Then first really started when I found this place, and finally a pair of headphones from Mackie, the DT-431, which is now dead.
  11. I use a Klotz GY107 cable for my soundcard -> mini compo. I would say OK if you do listen to music on your computer.
  12. A bit late but, Happy belated Bday! Er your Bada PH-1 still in my storage
  13. I always prefer to just switch the ICs connection around so that no additional stuff are in the system. Most elegant solution to me.
  14. 1. Absolute0 2. MatBon0013 3. N@Z 4. gfgfMoses 5. heady 6. Mychew (count me in, I can help a bit) 7. Nakedtoes. 8. Q00 9. afbug 10. evian_vortex 11.Kube 12 Bpribadi 13. lekguan More than willing to help.
  15. I have a pair of PXC-250 and I think it's just portable nirvana. The ANC works like magic for engine noise (bus, MRT). Ok a minor quirk is that hifi-wise its a bit over-priced for what u are paying. But otherwise, it's convenient. Something I would definitely recommend for commuting.
  16. I've just been to Anything Audio recently, and I thought the dynaudios sounded quite thin being driven by the Power20. Otherwise great in other ways (soundstage especially)
  17. Neutrik Pro Fi is built like a tank. $22/pair.
  18. The DT880 is available at anything audio to try along with the whole range of beyers. The audition cans there all seem burned in to me, so no problem Environment pretty conducive (rather quiet I would say), boss friendly, equipment decent (The multiple output rack amp is pretty damn good!), you can even take a listen to the Dynaudio studio monitors! It's a pretty cool beyer place
  19. I highly recommend the PXC250. With the noise cancellation/amplifier circuit turned out it sounds like a different beast altogether (without, it sounds quite like the PX200). The noise cancellation will cancel out the lower frequency repititive background noise which is v efficient for transport engine noise. And you will hardly miss people talking to you too. The isolation is just nice IMO to reduce noise, and not drown out people trying to talk to you at moderate loud volumes. Some may say it's overpriced. But for its versatility and convenience, i'm sold. And if you are not using portable amplifier, the built-in amplifier circuit in the noise-cancellation circuit is a big big plus. Expect a price of slightly below $230 with some bargaining at Hung Brothers, lv3 sim lim square. They allow trying of the PXC-250 there. Do note that when you try its not burned in though, but it will give you a rough idea of its sound, and especially the functionality of the noise-cancellation/amplifier circuit.
  20. I would say at this price range, DIY is the most value for money. Canare L2T2S would be a good try. Do remember to use good RCA/mini plugs! (probably something like Canare F-12 mini and Canare F-09 or F-10 RCA plugs). Canare L-4E6S star quad mic cable is the 4-core variant of L-2T2S and should be better, unfortunately it seems robert doesn't sell them in loose lengths. Another cable which is usually recommended above these 2 is the Mogami 2534 Neglex star quad mic cable.
  21. Don't panic. Don't try too hard. Live with it for sometime. Sometime later change back and maybe you will hear difference. Improvement or not, there will be differences. Often when you try too hard you end up hearing less. Speaking from experience. So relax and enjoy the music. Don't be so hard up. If eventually you still can't hear any difference, so be it! You're the man! Many would have wished to be in your shoes! Appreciate the music not the equipment! Rock on.
  22. The white paper from genesis loudspeakers gave the Melody Black Diamond which is sold at SLS ATF Multimedia (silvery label, 40x, gigastorage. dye 5 short strategy phthalocyanine) 5 stars together with 4 other CD-Rs (including the Melody Black Diamond cyanine dye which was what ATF multimedia first sold when I bought the first spindle of them, Infinity Black 40x, Mitsui Gold, and TDK Audio pro Musical Reference), whereas the Memorex one got a rating of 4 stars. Well in US its pretty hard to obtain the right Melody Black Diamond. But since in SG its so easy, I don't see why not
