i have a grado sr125

and i have an ipod. lol

i tried my friends creative and realise how bad the ipod sound

i thought of getting a portable amp below 300?? is it worth it? or should i upgrade the headphones first?

but any recommendation for a good portable amp for that price?

hope to look for something that will improve the soundstage? and bass?

2. i have a budget of 50 dollars can i get an amp with adjustable bass and treble controls

i have a AKG K81DJ . its the cheap headphone and i think the wire near the jack is spoilt. still abit ex to purchase a new one.

is it possible to solder a new wire / jack in? if possible how do u do it?
