I think you cannot bring a HA5000 here from Japan due to different voltages?

Some good stuff to get there include the Victor HP-DX1000, Audio Technica W5000 and the big Denons like the D2000, D5000 and D7000. They're all closed but the Victor is supposed to be a soundstaging champ.

The yen is pretty expensive right now, so actually if you're patient you might save more if you buy when the yen is cheaper, even when bought here.

I believe his next upgrade will be very soon too.

I forgot to contribute to this thread. Compared to all the big guns out there, this is probably one of the cheapest setups posted so far.

Stello DA100 + Stello HP100 + ATH-AD2000. iMod 4g feeds the HP100's second input. I've got Valgrind silver ICs coming to replace the Belden 89207 ICs in use right now, wonder how it'll turn out.

Maybe it'll have the bass of the PS-1 with the imaging and detail of the GS-1000?

You shouldn't have sold the Denon 5000 just yet. It would be a great shot having 3 WOODY cans from different brands. Anyway its new owner wll surely keep it in tip top shape. =)

The new owner will definitely buff and polish it, and hopefully get it Markl-modded.

Many thanks to Stanley for inviting me and Calvin for hosting the meet, it was awesome to try out the HA-02, ED9, PS-1 and the Markl-mod D5000 with the NX-33. If only we had a balanced source to unleash that MD5000.
