  1. Dear all, I am considering these 2 options: 1) Audio-good's Phoenix balanced amp 2) HeadRoom's Balanced Ultimate Desktop Amp (BUDA for short) Does anyone (Singapore-based) have either of these 2 amps which I can listen to with my balanced HD800 headphones? I would be very grateful. Please PM me, thank you!
  2. The selection of classical music discs in Singapore is dismal. I miss those days when you could pop into Beethoven Records House, Supreme Records, Sing Records and find at least a decent selection. Now, you can hardly find any shop worth visiting. In fact, I think the popularity of classical music is on the decline all over the world and classical music stores are either downsizing or vanishing. Sad. Nowadays, if I want to buy classical discs, I buy them from Taiwan (great prices and great selection), HK (good prices and good selection), Korea (great selection and acceptable prices). Apparently, Tokyo's HMV has the world's largest classical music collection. I can't wait to visit it one day.
  3. May I suggest a more radical solution: move house!
  4. Dear HD800 owners, I am considering buying a pair of HD800 and if I do, I would like to have upgraded cables which are "balanced" terminated. May I know if upgrading the cables requires skillful installation or can I simply buy the cables from one of the sellers on Head-Fi, unplug the stock cable and plug in the new cable myself (like what one can do to the HD650)? Thank you
  5. Is there already an indicative price for the SPL Auditor? You may PM me. Thank you.
  6. The Chopin Nocturnes and Concerti are some of my favourite pieces too.
  7. Just joined this forum and feel that I have missed the party! Perhaps my post will resurrect this thread. I like the recordings of Nathan Milstein and Wolfgang Schneiderhan for the Beethoven concerto.
