Hi all gurus here,

been enjoying my setup for the pass few mths and now backside got a little itch...... was toying with the idea of adding a DAC as I felt that more then often, my music would get interference believe coming from my laptop while I use it to surf net.... so if a DAC could be the answer to prevent interference and same time improve e music =D

So the qns is:

From your experience, would it helps?

ANy good DAC to intro? sadly, it has to be small in footprint cos my small desk quite messy liao, not too ex.....got budget control........

ever consider little dot? sound decent with tubes. was playing with speakers previously with solid state amp, now having headphone with tubes. tubes sound warmer..... just my two cents worth. = )

Was doing some window shopping last weekend, came across this small speaker (only single, don't know can produce stereo anot) that looks quite cute. Unfortunately, did get to listen to it... did some googling, found that its quite amazing that it produce loud and deep bassy sound... wonder if its good with the price tag? or it like those speaker selling at Axxxxxcity which sound crappy...... anyone heard them? can share some comments?

i want to know how it is with your grado after this while.. i'm interested in LD MKiii too...

 

in your sig you have ichord.. between your mac and MKiii.. what is ichord ? is it some kind of dac..?

Hi q, sorry didnt saw your post. so far not yet for both LD MKiii n grado as quite busy with work. but i would say that even it yet completely burn-in, they are already very enjoyable! very revealing! I would say mkiii is a good buy however i do have the problem of static noise. not sure its due to my wireless kb n mouse on my mac.

for the ichord, its a interconnect from chord company, one end is the 3.5" plug (the small plug for my mac sound output) n the other RCA (to my mac). Hope this clarified. thanks!

Hi all, just like to share a little upgrade i had today. Was having my 325is and LD mk3 with source (lossless) from my Macbook pro for awhile, used to connect my mac to amp with a make do cable (cheap cheap one ) but today had brought a decent cable - the ichord over the forum from one very nice gentleman.

Back home and try it out, was expecting some form of improvement only but to my surprise the overall dynamic, (low/mid/high range), clarity, space, vocal, instruments was taken to another level!!!

I guess next is to look at the tubes....... I think I'm deeply poison, hope my wifey don't find out.......

Finally! have gotten the LD mk3 and Grado 325is. they are really great pair!

gotten the amp from mosterlim, nice n friendly guy!

Now in the stage of burn-in, waiting......

But from hifi to head fi, somehow felt that both are a different league of their own world! hope to learn more from you guys!

Hi recently just sent my earphone back as the rubber of the cable start to came off. Was replaced with another

model as mine is no longer in production. Pretty fast @ 2 days they call mi to collect. Main problem is e distant to it's service centre, too far away..... Need to go there twice (sent in n collection) service not bad.
