  1. Looking to sell Beyerdynamic T1. Bought in the US in 2013 but were only used for a month before being put into storage until now.

Unfortunately I no longer have the case - this listing is for the headphones only.

    They are in great condition.

    Looking for 800 SGD.

  2. If you're getting sound and its just the LED that isn't working then you probably soldered it the wrong way round.

If you're not getting sound either then check everything. Starting with all the connections off the board.

  3. You don't mention which platform you are on - Mac or PC?

Its unlikely you'll find one piece of software to do it tho. You will probably need to convert them all to WAV first then edit them, then re-encode to MP3 as it is not easy to edit MP3s as they are.

If you're on mac then Fission http://www.rogueamoeba.com/fission/ by rogue amoeba will allow you to edit the files but I don't think you can batch process - maybe if it supports automator/scripting but doesn't look like it from the website.

For PC I would look at soundforge or wavelab in the first instance as they are the industry standard audio editors.

  4. The last thread on these IEMs was almost a year ago so I wanted to start another to see if anyone had any recent opinions.

I am a long time user of the CX-300 - a much cheaper model - and am a big fan of the punchy and bass heavy sound these IEMs provide. I already have studio monitors and some very transparent headphones so I am not really looking for a very flat response. I want something thats fun to listen to with plenty of bass as I predominantly listen to bass heavy dance music.

Has anyone got any experience with the IE6's? I tried the CX-500s and actually preferred the CX-300s to them as the tighter but more refined bass on the 500s did not really impress me.

  5. If you go for In-ear headphones then I would recommend getting some that are water resistant - I know sennheisser make some water resistant 'sports' IEMs.

It all depends on how much you sweat but I've ruined a couple of pairs of IEMs in this way by getting moisture into the driver. It is very annoying!

  6. It is a bit of a pain to work out exactly what you need - the best thing to do is to read all the instructions and the kit list, and then read them again - and then work out which of the optional parts you want to use.

For some components - i.e. the caps, just note the component values and the notes from the instructions - e.g. caps should be able to take at least your power supply voltage - higher voltage doesn't matter, though the caps will be bigger.

Then just take all the information down to Koba when it's quiet and they'll help you out. They are very helpful in there.

Make sure you get more than you need - particularly of the caps, transistors and maybe the ICs. This will prevent another trip down there if/when you burn out a component or want to switch it out.

I bought all the parts from RS but they have minimum purchase on most items - normally in 5,10,25,50 - so you might end up with a lot of unused components and it will cost you a lot more.

  7. For the money an Airport Express is great. I've had one for a few years and it works fine.

I might get a dropout/error once every six months. Other than that - perfect. iPod touch/iphone can be used as a remote.

be careful tho as they don't like connecting to some routers over wireless. I have used one with a D-Link, Netgear and Apple router with no problems tho.
