  1. Jaben just started selling it. Haven't asked them about it yet. Saw it on their website
  2. THey are selling syringing kits now, are they safe to use at home?
  3. Michael Buble is coming to Singapore, I'm thinking of getting a ticket to go. The ticks are darned expensive though. Anyone else going?
  4. Well, if bored means that i don't have the urge to get anything new, then i'm bored. I'm just enjoying my headphones now
  5. USB Hub (Does this count as one word, i think it's 4 words already lol)
  6. I think both are awesome headphones, you could go down to Stereo or Jaben to try them, I think that in the end, it's up to your personal preference as to which one would be better.
  7. I saw a set last week when i went there to try the Etymotics, I saw a T5p as well. The T5P is supposed to be a small T1. Anyway... both those headphones are totally out of my budget, so i didn't try them out.
  8. He has more wives than King Solomon. At least they don't nag him though
  9. You could call Stereo to ask them, their website is www.stereo.com.sg I liked the Denon's too, Jaben is quite alright if you get the bundles, the individual prices are a little higher than the market price, but i get my stuff there because the customer service is really good.
  10. Just my 2 cents, There are lots of comments that the Beyer 600 ohm and 250 ohm is very similar, so there is an option choose to get the 250 ohm which is easier to drive. I think the Beyer dt990 has recessed mids so coming from a UE sound signature, it might annoy you a bit like it annoyed me. Can't comment on the DT880 as i didn't really try it out. I currently have a K701, HD650 and a DT990 now, and the DT990 is sitting in my cupboard because i didn't like the mids. You could go to Jaben near City hall MRT to test all the headphones there and see what you like.
  11. Michael Buble's Albums! Live from Madison Square Garden Crazy Love Come Fly With Me
  12. All statements below are IMHO and you should go and try them yourself to form your own opinions as each person's preference differs. Not sure about amps that go well with it. Personally i find closed cans a bit... closed. So i didn't quite like the Denons Everyone's opinions differ but IMHO, other headphones to consider would be: 1) Beyerdynamic DT880 (the deals on Amazon are ridiculous) 2) Grado SR125/SR125/SR225/SR325 3) Alessandro MS1/MS2 4) Sennheiser HD600 (around 450 if i'm not mistaken, might be higher) 5) Get a UM3X and then be done with it, lol Some random ramblings by me, Beyer has recessed mids which annoy the heck out of me, the bass is quite heavy, as i'm used to the K701 which is rather bass light for some. (I have a beyer 990 Pro lying in the cabinet because of this, used to like oodles of bass till i fell in love for the first time, with the K701, and then with the HD650) I think that Grado is really wonderful for rock and other modern music because it's really fun to listen to, but if you use it for critical listening, i think it lacks detail and separation. The Sennheiser HD600 has the famous Sennheiser Veil, but it disappears if you have a powerful enough amp to drive it, i own a HD650, and the veil was very annoying so i went to Jaben looking to get rid of the veil. I realised that PROPER amping will get reduce or even remove the veil. Well, i think the UM3X is a fantastic pair of earphones, and if it weren't for the JH16s poisoning me, i would have got it instead. Other choices can be: Sennheiser IE8, Earsonics SM3, Westone 3, Shure 535 and UE TF10. I think the Grados are quite acceptable unamped but respond well to amping, you could consider them and if you are unsatisfied with them in the future, you could get an amp to power them to their full potential. I wanted to put in the K701, but seeing as you require some bass, i don't think it will be a good fit for you. That and also the fact that they are VERY picky with amps (You could get a K701 second hand for 350). It has been a frustrating but rewarding experience for me when i was looking for an amp for it. Although my setup isn't the kind of multimillion dollar setup, but i'm happy with it at the moment. I guess there comes a point where you get to be satisfied with what you've got, until somebody asks you to listen to their rig.
  13. For bass, you could go to Jaben and try the headphones. Just ask them for bassy headphones and they'll recommend you some. Don't ask to try any specific models first, just let them do their thing, after they've exhausted their options then you ask for specific models. Note: I am the guy who wears my K701 out, so what is portable to me might not be portable for you. lol Just some suggestions on headphones you can try: 1) Koss Portapro 2) Grado SR60i (Not sure if bassy enough, but it's good for modern music, if you can up your budget a little, i would suggest you go for the SR80i. Not exactly portable) 3) THe new Audio technica, can't remember the name of it, the design is quite retro 4) Sony XB500 (Don't know if this is portable to you) If you want bassy earphones: 1) Hippo white 2) Hippo Boom 3) Crossroads Bijou 3 4) Futuresonics Atrios Otherwise, you could find an Audio Technica WS70 secondhand on forums, that headphone is really really bassy, but it costs 200 bucks first hand.

    K701 mod?

Anyone recabled a K701 with 3.5mm jacks on the headphones so you can swap wires at will before? Or anyone saw this kind of mod before and willing to direct me to the pics?
