Does e5 really help? Becoz i cant hear much bass when i am listening to Iron maiden (their bass supposed to be very heavy) with my ipod+tf10. And it clarity isnt very good. I draw to the conclusion that the player is not good becoz i own a pair of MF220 too. The clarity and bass that is produced by MF220 and TF10 isnt a great diff. therefore i felt that the problem lays with the player. Btw, i using comply foam for both phones, i know i did have a good seal.
Do you have any EQ setting when u use ur ipod?
the EQ i use is flat..is it possible that the problem lies with the source (i.e. the MP3 files-> low bit rate?) rather than the ipod itself?
try encoding a higher bitrate version (my personal favourite is ALAC or 320kbps will do if you're short on space) and see if the difference is felt. from personal experience flac and 128/192 is a huge leap in terms of SQ.

Hi all, i current having ipod 5th gen. But it sounds really bad when i go with my TF10. therefore i am looking for a new mp3 player. Any suggestion? i do not need fanciful features, i juz need a decent player most importantly is the sound produced and with at least 32gb of memory. Cowon S9 is too fanciful for me. Sony X series is too expensive for me..
what do you mean when "it sounds really bad?" im using an ipod classic (5.5?6th Gen? - 80gb) with LOD -> Fiio e5 and it sounds pretty good to me. listened to my friend's creative zen x-fi and i honestly couldnt tell a significant difference. i even find that my classic sounds better. (Flat EQ)
Have not listened to the popular cowon or sony mp3 players so i cant comment on them.
PS: im also using tf10.

+1 for this.. i've seen many online retailers selling claimed OEM version also.. but i believe its fake.. anyone has compared both the retail and OEM versions? interested to know..
-
city electronics has it.. going for around 300 i believe

the way i see it.. reshelling an already awesome product isnt a risk worth taking.. like what many people have said. a company like UE probably spends thousands tuning and crafting the sound for the TF10 and i think its more than the housing that changes when you do a reshell..

icic.. initially when i change from silicon to foam i felt that foam was a bit muffled. dunno why also. seems fine now though. just wanna try something else heh

OT a bit.. has anyone tried double/triple flanges on a TF10 before? how will it affect the SQ? im thinking of getting a pair soon.. after my complys are used up
-
Are u using a ipod/iphone to play? Did u set the eq? I got a similar problem which was solved when i off the eq.
yup using ipod through LOD but my eq is set to flat. still hear it though. probably clipping as what bpribadi has mentioned

interesting.. thanks

Hi all, im currently using the comply foam tips that came with my UE TF10s.
However, i cant seem to get a good seal using the foams, perhaps im wearing it wrongly. How do you guys wear it?? is it supposed to easily slip off when im wearing it? How do i know whether im getting a good enough seal?
Eg. when i remove my silicons from my ears they make a "pop" sound so i know im getting a good seal. What about comply foams?

I just realised that while listening to Andrea Bocelli's The Prayer (Duet with Celine Dion) in lossless i get a bit of a crackling sound on the highs.. is this normal or are my drivers faulty? i dont seem to hear the same crackling sound when i play it through my desktop speakers.

how much u pay for it ?
check pm.
by the way, anyone have any suggestions as to how i should store and care for my tf10s? my friend recommended putting silica sachets in with the earphone case. anything else i should take note of?

don't think too much after purchase, enjoy the intangible benefits of a good pair of cans

i use my old pair of creative ep630s if i EVER use my portable rig for jogging.. like too precious to be exposed to the elements

hi all, thinking of purchasing a pair of ue TF10s from an online dealer.. but its an amazon set so warranty has to be RMAed straight to USA. any advice regarding such a purchase?
anyone here has had any experiences with such a warranty scenario? and does anyone here have any issues with TF10 other than the infamous fit issues? Just auditioned a pair earlier and totally loved the sound
Recommendation for full sized headphones!

Hi, as per thread title.
Im looking for a pair of full sized headphones, budget around or below $1000. I used to own a pair of Grado SR80is but i sold them the moment i got my UE TF10s.. so i guess im more inclined towards the sound signature of UE..
Looking for a pair of headphones cos i get ear-ache after prolongued use of my TF10s.. no idea why though.. saw a doctor but he couldnt find anything wrong with my hearing/ear whatsoever.. so i dont know if its the fit.. im using them with comply foams.
I havent had much experience with full sized headphones other than my Grados and a pair of Koss Portapros.. any recommendations??
PS: if the headphones require amplification please recommend a suitable amp too!
My current setup: ipod classic + LOD Fiio e5.. looking to upgrade my amp if i get a proper full sized headphone..
I love clarity.. not really a basshead. Love the separation of instruments. Great fan of soundstage (Hotel california!) Love vocals (beyonce, alicia keys) Occasional jazz/mambo (buble/rosemary clooney). Not a huge fan of rap and hard rock.
Thanks for your suggestions! And if possible give me a ballpark figure of the price of the headphones + amp (if one is needed)
