  1. hi, thanks for the advice but i checkedt it out and it costs USD $260(cheapest), thats really high considering i would have to get a soundcard too.. anyway, if i intend to use the line in temporary first, is the m-audio audiophile 2496 or m-audio revo more suitable? and is it considered analog or digital if i connect my guitar to it?? thanks u
  2. hi, thanks for the reply.. hmm is there any better soundcard you can recommend me that matches my criteria? else for me, i guess its the revo
  3. if i need to connect my electric guitar directly to a soundcard, where do i connect it to? is it the analog/digital ouput of a soundcard?
  4. Hi guys, i did more research and i guess i need more help here. Allow me to list my conditions : 1. i will only be using my pair of headphones for it ( HD 590), no speakers 2. often, i may connect my electric guitar to it and play through the soundcard to use together with a sound effects software and also do some basic recording. 3. i will mostly be using it for music(mp3) and sometimes movies 4. i have no intentions of buying a headphone amp at current 5. my budget around SGD $300 6. hopefully the price of the soundcard will not drop fast( good investment) what is the best soundcard suitable for me?? pls advice.. btw, sinamex is selling SGD347 for the m-audio audiophile2496 , is it worth it ?? or shld i get the Revo instead?
  5. hullo, thanks for replying guys.. ahh.. some questions for you.. 1. theres the Sonica theater and Revo 7.1 by m-audio.. which one is better? (im using desktop) 2. the revo has 7.1 but im going to use it through my cans only, wouldn't it be an overkill or like not get the full effects of the card? 3. in another post, someone say can try to bargain with the sinamex.. can bargain till how much?? 4. the Audigy 2 ZS vs Revo.. which one is better for music and movies??? 5. is this soundcard really worth the price?? i hvnt heard it myself 6. is this the best soundcard i can get for my budget(SGD $200) ?? considering i only need it mainly for music and i only require 2-channel.. thank u
  6. Hi guys, i was thinking of getting a good soundcard to complement a good headphone for music listening so i can maybe skip the head amp part. what is the best soundcard for music out there?? i heard alot abut the M-Audio revolution.. may i ask where can i get them in SG and how much do they cost?? thank u
  7. hmm... how much cheaper(roughly) is the 250-80 from the 250-250 Ramiesh : since you talked about Grado.. i have a q here. Why is SR225 'called' the best ROCK can instead of SR 325.. i thought was somewhat an improved version of it? also, there are more comfy pads for the grado phones i heard.. but can it really get comfy.. frankly, i am blown off by the comfort of teh hd590.. also, i was thinking of trying out an ATh-A900 but no one here seems to have much information about it? also its like v diff. to find locally.. anyone knows?
  8. N@Z: i didn't know about it.. hehe.. u seem to know everything o_O" anyway, im not a big fan of bass so i tihink i'll still go for a all-rounder.. urmm.. hehe more advice needed from you guys.. now the new list is Philips 890 , 910 , DT 250-250 . 250-80 btw, can anyone point out pros and cons between each of brand's cans? i.e.e between the 2 philips & between the two DTs .. then which is better for me? i believe i do not have enough experience to tell these differences yet..
  9. wah.. the cd3k price is O V E R W H E L M I N G for me.. indeed it would be an overkill for someone like me.. i think i better look lower down.. hehe anyway, today one of the shops quoted me 330 for the HD 590.. do you guys think that can its worth that kinda $$?? ( im not a rich kid btw.. juy a guy who is willing to pay slightly more for quality) i didnt really like how it sounded.. but well i have to remind myself im on a budget i tried the DT770 pro (nicer sound) but i didnt like how it felt on my head.. only a few minutes.. i felt there was slight heat buildup and my head feels compressed..maybe abit too small for my taste..hehe how about the other philips 890 / 910? or shld i spent the $$ on the Sr 225 and conjure some kidna way to make them comfy?
  10. Hi guys, thanks for the replies.. just came back from a round of testings.. hehe, i didn't manage to test out the ATH-A900 but the rest i did. i got to say the comfort of HD 590 was superb..but i didn't really like how it sound compared to the DT 770 but i dont think the HD 590 is a good run for my $$ since i personally feel its just 'another of the good senn cans' .. nothing that outstanding for me to want it badly.. i have done more resaerch and have more questions to ask..can you guys give me more details regarding.. Sony CD3000 some of my top factors that affect : 1. i need it to be easy to drive( prefably from a soundcard/guitar amp)..not so much into headamp 2. comfort.. 3. good all rounded phones for wide variety of music.. also, may i ask where can i get the CD3000 headphones locally (somewhere where i could test it out?) and how much do they cost in SGD$?? i suppose its going to cost alot, is it really every dollar for the buck? if i really spent it on this, its going to be like a 'one to last 10 years' headphone.. what do you guys think? thanks
  11. N@z: hehe thanks Again.. for replying btw, is it all closed design headphones would have heat buildup?
  12. hullo, thank you for replying.. about the closed/open design for background music.. im actually quite flexible about it.. how much do the DT 770 cost?? btw, do you know where in SG i can go test out the Audio-Electornica ATh-900 phones.. would like to at least test it out.. and also the ATh-A900 is a closed earphone.. does that mean it would have heat buildup?
  13. hmm.... after more reasearch.. i have narowed down my choices to : Senn HD 590 , ATH 900 , Grados SR225 anyone else can help me beter make my decision?
  14. Hi guys, i need some expert advice here as i am rather at loss of which headphone to get and thought i needed some advice from experts out here.. i will try to be as detailed as possible.. please bear with me. all my points, would be in numerical priority Main usage : 1. To connect to computer sound card for music,movies..etc 2. To connect to my electric guitar amp. for guitar practice Criteria : 1. Comfort and min. heat buildup(will be wearing for long hours) 2. Quality of sound Narrowed Choices : Senn HD 590 / Senn HD 580 / GRado 225 / AKG K501 Main Genre of music : 1. Instrumental 2. Rock 3. Moods I was thinking more to HD 590 / AKG K501.. what do you guys think? any other good headphones that you gusy think is suitable for me to recommend? my budget is around $300, but if a headphone is really worth the extra buck.. i would consider them paying slightly more.. i hope to buy a good headphone that would last me for some good long years can anyone suggest which headphone should i get from the list or recommend any other? i tried doing some research myself but i thought i would need more expereinced opinions.. btw, i have no intentions in the near future to buy a headphone amp. the only amp i will connect it to is probably my guitar amp. or do you guys have any better and more comfy recommendations for me since i dont intend to use a headamp? I will be going down SLS tmr.. pls reply fast if possible.. thanks
