bought the 71SL @ $69 @ V3 PS:hmm...i can't seem to experience total sound isolation with it...can someone confirm this?

due to my "physical" limits, i can't quite* hear out the the difference between cds and mp3 ripped from it @ VBR 112~224. (maybe my hearing was damaged...) and certainly re-encoding mp3 @ 56kbps to 256 or whatever higher is like re-packaging a damaged item.

what about the freq response range and impedency? are 0.5m extension cords available and how much do they cost?
