A quick impression on the Astello(with comply) using Rockbox 5.5Gen ipod headphone out and flac flies. Had a brief listen to Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton Unplugged, Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No.1 ..The Astello is a pretty detail earphones, I would say the Astello tends a little more to the bright side.. The vocals are not bad, the texture is there. Bass can go deep. The Astello can handle classical music, the soundstage and separation is there.. The only problem of the Astello is the isolation is not that good. For $59, it is definitely a steal and a good back up earphone. The astello gave me the impression of a semi-open headphones.... very wide, layered separation. Put all instruments in the right place. Not just in your ears. Real bargain for something that price. Indeed, good for classical with the separations and the soundstage. Astello sound bright? that's my first impression, but the brightness cool down after some hour of listening. Afew questions..hope to get more valued advice 1) Will Astello SQ improve much more with a portable amp? 2) How much does the comply cost? 3) Would the SQ consider an upgrade over JBL 220 which actually is a decent earphone with super bass. blackmouth0 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2009 @blackmouth0 what do you use to burn in ? i use some of a simple tool to burn in them. ipod nano version 4 --> silver reference --> ibasso t4 ---> astello radiance. and i just left it at there to run, no battery, go charge and run in again. well, it's really value for your money for this earphone.
