cmk 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2006 (edited) This is about the pinnacle of tonearm technology - the linear tracker, because LP grooves are cut that way. The key to getting it to work is that the arm must be almost having negligible horizontal and vertical friction, so that the cart can trace the groove laterally and vertically, thus allowing the cart to perform its job without added resonances getting in the way. A simple and ingenious solution, this does not require high pressure pumps, rather a normal aquarium pump, and it works. While pump noise is always the bane of air-bearing tonearms, with a long tube, I located the pump just behind the door, thus removing the slight noise. Great stuff! Full details here. union 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2006 hihi, u have the AM 650 PRO in Singapore? may i try? thx My AM 650 Pro is in by home country. Perhaps I can bring it with me next time when I come back to Singapore in someday this year. I wish to know it is any regular gathering in Singapore? We do have a gathering every month in my country. So, in this Sunday my friends will play Wii and L3000G, GS1K, HD580, HD600 with some DIY Headamp, but so sad I can not attend the gathering this time.
