nakedtoes 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2010 Hu SHure owner who use triple flanges tips.. do you all encounter the white silicon tips started to melt.. as it started to get greasy after sometime by itself... The "oil" from one of the tips clog one of my E5C filters resulting in a lower volume in that driver... May i know.. 1) where to get the replacement filter (Shure E5C)?? 2) Can i use Etymotic Er4 green filter on shure E5C?? anyone tried before? 3) ANyone took out the shure filter to clean before? and successfully manage to clean it?? I have taken out the filter using etymotic filter removal tools and soak the filter in soap water... will reinstall back after drying it...hopefully can work..
