hdrcorp 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2011 Does anyone know where or who does custom earphone wires now? Want to get a shorter wire for my UE10 so that I don't have to loop it all over the place.

nekatrall 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2011 fairly simple process the only headache is what wires u want to use i used spc fr lhs just tt its 24awg so abit stiff but the changes it made to the sound was awesome only bad thing is i had to chop off my orig spoilt cable connector but found out recently that u can buy some sip connector looks like this (in sim lim tower) -> http://www.wellgainelectronics.com/amp8pin...machinepin.aspx what u need is also some basic soldering skills wires (ur choice of silver/copper/silver plated copper) see budget abt 26/28 awg(bigger number means thinner wires) so its not too thick/stiff 3.5mm plug, neutrik or amphenol reccommended heat shrink tube hot air blower/lighter http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=474...89&l=9d1a6bb34e this was my first 1 using cheap $0.30/m wires from sim lim tower
