Effective_audio 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2012 2/16 updates: SA15 S2 Mods with Ultima Clock, ultima voltage regulators, component changes and circuit modifications: Customer Review: Hi James, Happy Chinese New Year to your family and you. As I promise to give you me feedback on the modded Marantz SA-15S2 done by you. After tens of hours of run in I managed to have actual time to sit down for serious listening. The first CD I popped in is from Zee Avi’s ghostbird album. The first impression was that the separation of each individual instrument were well presented with spacing among each other nicely layout. Secondly the layering of the whole spectrum of the music were well staged. After further listening I found some unfound musical notes that were not so obvious previously now popping up. Wow…the feeling is so nice, especially on those low notes. Moreover, the entire presence of the bass section become more compact and robust, even in low volume listening. Lastly the vocal of the singer become more emotionally attached to the song due to the improvement of the separation and layering of the whole spectrum. I will highly recommend any mate to try out the full mod before deciding on the next purchase. Definitely you will find something you have previously missed on your existing player. Thanks! Mr Loke, on his SA15-S2 fully modded with ultima clock / ultima voltage regulators and circuit mods. ---------- Another CD6003 with burson clock and mods: customer feedback: After 20hrs of burn in the music is natural, musical, with good soundstage. Instrument separation is good. I love it!! I will let it burn in further. It will be very good. Thank you for your advise and appreciate the service your have provided. Thanks again. Very happy it improves so much!--Albert. ------------- CD17 Mk 3 full upgrades with ultima clock , ultima regulators, component changes and circuit mods -------------- SA8003 upgrades with Burson Clock, component changes and circuit mods Customer Feedback: Dear james, After the mods the soundstage has opened up wide. Very clearly defined bass and sweet highs. While listening to the 2nd track of Ray Brown Trios's live at the loa--summer wind album, I finally heard the phone ringing in the background that caused the audience to laugh. Always thought the bassist was doing some antics to make the people laugh. My SA8003 sounds really transparent and musical now. Now separation between different instruments is so clearly defined. No straining in the sound so I can play louder shouting at the listener. Definition is there even when playing softly. Cannot wait till it fully burns in! Customer, on his SA8003 Mod. ---------- Thanks!
