limyw 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2012 (edited) I am a newbie and looking for a pair of headphones that give surround sound (simulated or otherwise), primarily to watch blu rays and TV. has anyone any advice or recommendations? In my research I came up with the following options - Sennheiser RS170 RS 170 - but its too ex (almost $500) - creatives Aurvna X-Fi but battery life is an issue and I cant seem to find this in store for audition - even looked at separate surround processors like Sound Blaster Recon3D Surround Sound Processor or Ear Force DSS 7.1 Channel Dolby Surround Sound Processor. but I'm not sure if this is effective? anyone tried? - I have read that wired is a better option (I dont need to move around while watching the movie), but cant seem to find a good surround sound wired phones - I even looked at gaming headphones but most or all of them are USB connection, and will not have surround effect once you use the normal jacks any advice from expert bros here?
